It's okay to have differing opinions. One of mine is that Cable was a savior last year, having taken a complete disaster and turned it into an o-line that was pretty darned decent having produced the 6th best rushing offense in the league.
But it's totally cool if you disagree.

Good point. The example of Cable taking an O-line from worst to 6th (at least in the running game) is the kind of thing that helps validate hope. Things CAN change in unexpected, crazy ways....good and bad.
The main thing I'm looking for is can the team attitude change. Will they become a team that looks like they give a damn or just a bunch of mercenaries? When they play as a cohesive team with an actual direction we start to win and eventually become formidable. When we don't we suddenly inexplicably just fall apart and find new ways to 'just lose, baby'. Seems like we took steps in the right direction last year.

I don't believe we should have JaMarcus shouldering too much of THE leadership role as he is only 21 or 22 years old and for all intents and purposes is a ROOK. However he has been referred to as leader by example in the past, and that is something I'll be looking for as opposed the fiery rhetoric type of guy, that ain't him by a long stretch. Our leadership (verbal) is going to come from the vets on the line and in the backfield more than Ja. With that said, I believe he'll surprise some folks this year, because they forgot that the kid is an all around QB, not just a gunslinger. We've always had the "PO", now we have some actual blue chippers to match. But time will tell as usual. Count me in for 8-9 wins and a playoff berth!

The reason I hate those catchphrases is because they are empty hollow promises. I'm a fan regardless I don't have to be motivated to watch this team most of us watch in spite of their flaws and failures, I don't have issue with people believing the hype...

lol If you dont care what hapens in may why do you post on every thread started in may? Its ok though we all care a little bit. Or ALOT depends on the person but we are all here.

i cant give ya rep but straight up....lets debate, talk....even argue...just respect me and i'll respect you...im mean we could all talk shiet all day long as long as respect is there.
cable...thats the thing bro...we both know how bad shell and company was the year before kiffin/cable came in. i mean you and me could have coached the team better than they did. so while i think cable is a good coach i dont see the genuis lable to be true. i see a guy who was able to teach bad players to do something all o line players love to do ....run block. good to great, pass blocking has yet to be seen here in oakland.

Potential is there,
we need some players to realy step it up...Gallery, Grove, Routt, Kelly, Sands,Huff, Higgens and Jay need to take leaps in their development and play better than last year..if those guys can do that...Huff inparticulair we have a load talent combined with proven talent like Walker, Hall, Carter, Curry, Fargas, Howard, Kirk,Shane, Seabass, Aso, Burgess and Talent waiting to prove it Dmac, Bush and JRuss..we potentialy have a good group...let's win some games..

I wasn't aware, that a difference of opinion wasn't allowed... perhaps when that rule applies I might conform until then all bets are off...
