Not another CB? I think Al got this one right!
At first I was very dissappointed we spent another pick on a corner(actually he may end up at FS), but doing some research, this may end up being a great pick. Not only is he a physical specimen, but he is a leader and hard worker, we may have got a steal. You can never have enough good character guys in the locker room, difinetely a Kiffin guy.

His positives out weight his negatives..It is looking more like a better pick..We need a return man and ST help. If he can tackle that is another positive.

It was either on NFL Network or on some draft site but I also remmeber hearing about how he is a student of the game. He seems to have a lot of skills with a major weakness being lack of ball skills (only 3 int's in college). I also like the notion of playing him at either FS or CB, he played both in college.

Yeah, he looks good. My main problem is that we traded up to pick him OVER someone who would have started to address our run defense needs.

If it finally bumps Stu off the team, I'll like it for that fact alone.

lol there is no risk but at the same time we should have looked to address bigger needs. Hopefully this guy works out.

Rivals.com had him as the 2nd rated FS behind Kenny Phillips..He was a late 1st round pick on a USA Today mock. Fastest DB in the draft & had two returns for TDs last season. He will fill a need as a Return man and may get on the field as a Dime back?..Good pick IMHO.

Lets say he's a player, where you gonna put him? You have your starters and then some at DB; its a dumb pick like so many in the past.
Beau Bell, and the DT from Maryland who's name escapes me right now, and many other players would have been much better picks.
For years fans try to twist and mold themselves into believing the picks are all great and for years many have been wrong. This is a silly pick.

I've posted it a couple times now....I can't justify the position picked, but Branch is absolutely a solid footbal player who will help this team....I know a player in the secondary is the last thing we wanted to see, but honestly, this is a great prospect.

I honestly know nothing about the guy. I didn't see him play in college, so the only info I know is what I am reading, which sounds good. Hopefully he can really help this team.
Either way, I am sick of spending draft picks on DBs year after year, and that has nothing to do with him and whether he becomes a good player or not.
I wish Al loved Dlineman as much as he loved DBs. I think we would be a better team.
