Too bad the spending haven't been used on the Oline and Dline. It takes those two things to beat teams weekly and to beat a team like the Chargers. Just look at this video and tell me what you see besides Peterson

There was some great blocking in that video, but there was also a LOT of Peterson improvising due to a stalemate in the line, a lot of Peterson himself buying extra yards by leaping over defenders, making moves, charging over people, or juking around people. A lot of Peterson's own speed, agility and tough running.

Ie, the Vikings' OL bought him 5 yards, but then Peterson bought himself the next 5 or 10 or 20 or 40 yards. If you had a slower less agile runner behind that line, they wouldn't have run for 296 yards. They wouldn't have converted those 5-10 yarders into 20-40 yarders.

Just like we saw with Fargas and the Raiders OL. They bought Fargas his 5-10 yards at the line of Scrimmage, but Fargas himself was seldom making anything else happen.
