i dont think you understand the concept of money and "big" contracts in the NFL, Kelly wont be getting all that money, there will be incentives, loading, restructures that will make this contract in the scheme of things not overly significant

You what else you don't know very well? English grammar. If you follow the Raiders and don't know Tommy Kelly, I don't know what to tell you. If you don't know the players, how do you know we over paid? Wilson has been one of the most productive safeties in the league over the last 4 years, he is a play maker and he lays the wood. We got beat to the punch on some WRs, but those guys got over paid too, so I am not sure signing them would have made you happy. FA is far from over, take a pill.

the offseason has only begun... even though our team looks incredibly thin @ wr (which it is)... we do have a long way to go before the season begins.. i echo a lot of the other posters in saying that there will be more opportunities to sign players off cuts and draft wideouts... my guess is that by the time the season rolls around you'll be complaining about something else. cheers and be merry

I think we've done pretty well so far. Why break your bank in one year, why sign players who are ok, save the cash you might find something later if not to bad. There are 31 other teams out there fighting to buy a player, look at who landed who Browns paid big cash for Stallworth he hasn’t proven to be worth that mush. and who do the Vikings have for a WR of course we cant buy up every one but look at what we did get long term deals with young players. Talk about money look at Tampa they have fat cash and there chillin only a few players were worth picking up a we got one of them.
