Big NEWS out of Newfield, NJ??? - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

I have big news that affects all Raiderfans.net members and visitors! If you've been a member of our community for a while, then you already know about one of our biggest issues; TRAFFIC! Yes, you read that right, we're a victim of our own success. We are one of the most active NFL related communities on the internet. Over the years, during our busiest times, I had to make a difficult decision which resulted in closing the site and only making it available to PREMIUM members. Hopefully when I complete the project I have in the works, I wont be forced to make that decision anytime soon! I'll get to what is cooking in a moment...

After getting into the print media business and giving it our best collective effort, I decided to suspend the print side of this venture. We will still offer the same high quality, full-color publication, but it will only be available online. Why am I doing this? It's simple, I always want to do what is best for our community! I would rather concentrate our funds into where it is needed most. With that said, I'm proud to announce our third and much needed new server will be live and operational soon! This will allow us to run smoother, handle much more traffic and hopefully eliminate any outages due to extremely high traffic!

I want all the members to know that I am dedicated to providing YOU the ultimate Raider fan experience ONLINE! We are always looking to improve, so if you have any comments or suggestions, please post them here.

By the way, I get a ton of emails/pm's from fans thanking me and the staff for the job we do. Many of which ask me what can they do to help support the site. We offer PREMIUM packages, accept donations and sell t-shirts to help offset the costs. But monetarily supporting the site is only one of the ways to help out. Continue to spread the word about Raiderfans.net, check out our advertisers, post our Raiderfans.net Widget on your website, myspace or facebook space! And last but not least, visit and contribute to the site by posting a blog and participating on the forums!

What will happen with those of us who have already paid for Raiderfans.net the magazine in full for 2008?

Has the the 2nd half issue for 2007 been sent out yet?

That's awesome news, Bob. Hopefully we won't have the kind of bottlenecks on draft day that left so many of us (you as well, I'm sure!) totally frazzled.

For the members that paid for a 2008 Magazine subscription, a refund will be offered

The 2nd half issue will be the 1st issue we offer for 2008, Volume #2, Issue #1

nice, will be looking forard to the upgrade. You never wait to long on these things it nice to have these minor issues handled right away instead of waiting until they are major issues.
