Schefter believes Lane Kiffin will return.......
I didn't see it posted here, but he just mentioned on NFLN in his usual spot for "Around the League" that he believes Lane Kiffin will return to coach the Raiders in 2008. He said Lane will not sign the resignation and Al will not fire him, so the word he's hearing now is that Lane Kiffin will more than likely return to the Raiders next season.

That's all fine and dandy, but all signs point to Al making it a living hell. And he's clearly lost his mind, so we might be looking at a scenario in which he sabatoges the draft and FA just to make Lane look bad. Don't rule it out.

I'm guessing Greg Knapp will no longer we offensive coordinator if Saunders likes his stay in Oakland, and that Lofton wil be replacing Charles Coe as Wr's coach. Or it could be that James Lofton is interviewing for HC, and that Saunders is interviewing for OC...who knows. It all depends on the fate of Lane Kiffin. |

Saunders is a good OC though...it just means to me that Kiffin must be on his way out cause if Al offers Saunders OC or possibly even HC, Kiffin will just be fired. I think lofton will definately be WR coach or an assistant coach of some kind.
