but i agree that we bring in explosive offensive capabilities/players while bettering our running game, that russell will improve. But i still think Russell is mis-cast as the rolling out precision passing WCO. Not saying he cant do it, but it doesnt highlight his strengths, which is more gunslinging and making stuff happen ad lib a la Favre. But russell getting schooled with all the technical mechanics and footwork is a good thing that he's learned this year.

The thing is Kiffin does not have the resume to phuck up and create a split in Oakland. Not everybody is going to give him a shot based on other college coaches and based on how some owners view Davis in a postive way: IE Jerry Jones.

At the end I don't think you can bring back a guy that was exploring other options, you need to get somewhere else that is committed towards winning and a guy who'll be in the facility during the twilight hour.

You are right that simply running a modern day WCO does not take advantage of JR. You need to get a running game and get the ball going down field much in the same manner that Pitt is handling Roth.

I do want him back but you have to admit turning the Raiders around was going to be a hard enough task without having this linger over everybodies head all season. Every move made or not made is going to be looked at as is Kiffin just being a hard ass to get Al to fire him so he can still collect a pay check is Al not making any moves with players so that Kiffin can't win thus thwarting his chances of getting work elsewhere. It's just going to be a zoo unless they have some kind of press confrence and make us all believe they are on the same page. I don't know about you even in a press confrence they'll practically have to amke out or something for me to believe there aren't any lingering hard feelings.
