What would we do if DAL trades up and gets D-Mac 1st and STL gets Glenn Dorsey? Since our staff coached the Senior Bowl and since Sedrick Ellis tore it up, do you guys think we should get him with the 3rd or 4th pick?

This would suck if Big D stole D-Mac from us.
Shhhh, no its not. Our biggest need for a 1/2 decade is run-D. A good run-D will cut the field short for the O who was effective running (what was our ranking on run O?). Add a deep threat WR and the pass game will pick up (unless we have McCown the passing clow... naaa too easy, playin).

I agree 100% and I think your point about a run-stuffing D giving our offense better field position has been absent from most people's arguments. And, by drafting a DL with the first pick, it makes it easier for us to pickup a top WR prospect in early rd 2.

Still, if we do draft D-Mac, I'll be just as happy.

Why would "D" take McFadden when they have a beast like Barber? I can't see them paying the big money #1 to let him sit. Barber reminds me of Earl Campbell he looks for people to hit....

glen dorsey or Ellis will be our pick. Ellis had such a good week and indeed I'm sure the whole Raiders coaching staff was drooling over him. oh wait, they have no say though what am I thinking!

i would like to see us draft chris long

strong possibility IMO the raiders contiue for the next several years utilizing backs the calibre of fargas and rhodes. Once they have the team rebuilt and ready to win it would be a good time to grab an elite RB to take us to the next level otherwise we can waste the best 3-4 years of mcfadden's career behind a sub par o-line -its just a thought and i would be happy if we take mcfadden - he's sure to help us next season but we have bigger needs.
