Somebody answer this question for me..

Remember in 1996 (I could be wrong on the year) when Jim Fox (Now Panthers Head Coach) walked out on the Raiders. He was the Defensive Coordinator. Now I heard it was because he was sick and tired of Al meddling. Is this true? I wonder if this has something to do with why in the hell Ryan hardly and I mean hardly ever blitizes? What say you...

Had this discussion with my friend the other night. People ripped Moss for going on the air with that comment and look at the Raiders a year later. Randy Moss must be the happiest man on earth to get outta Oakland. Its sad what the hell is going on with the Raiders Organization. And people still don't wanna believe its Al Davis. The same people believe in fairys and talking trees.

this may be off track, but Kiffin is sorta smart if you think about it... If he were to step-down or retire, Al would look even worse (media wise) than he does now, so Kiffin almost has Al is a tight spot.. Kiffin will be one of the first to get things done his way...
Al is still getting say so, but if he pisses Kiffin off, and Kiffin walks, we as fans are screwed for years to come!

We need a Ron Wolf again. Look what Wolf did for GB, and what he did here, he was able to complement Davis wildness and taking chances personality and focus on getting good football players.

Al did Moss a favor, and moss knows it.. to bad the draft pick was not a condition to get a 3rd or 2nd if he had the stats he has now, but eberyone was glad to see him gone for a 4th.. just the way it goes.. i could see us giving Gallery for a 5th, and he going to the pro-bowl with another team.

Fox did walk out he said it was personal issues but it could have been Al.

I wouldn't worry about Gallery going to the pro bowl with another team.....Unless the CFL calls their all star game the pro bowl as well.

Everyone knows Al is part of the problem, yet some keep trumpeting the same stuff over and over as though they think they are exclusive in the understanding of this. Not sure where they get the feeling others don't get that, other than maybe an inability to comprehend what they are reading.

As far as Fox, don't hold me to this but weren't there wispers of him having a drinking problem at that time? I thought i remember Fox himself saying he was at fault regarding that time in his life. I think he steered around specifics.

You're exactly right Jimi. Even when Kiffin took the job he had Al right where he needed him. Al had just been turned down by a relative nobody in Sarkisian, and my guess is Kiffin leveraged that to force Al to make concessions.

As far as John Fox, I'm sure it was something along those lines.

If I remember correctly, I think Fox had drinking issues and some other personal problems going on when he stepped down.
