Penguins complete sweep of Senators (AP)

The Pittsburgh Penguins were on the happy side of the traditional handshake line at the end of this year's playoff series with the Ottawa Senators. Evgeni Malkin and Jarko Ruutu scored second-period goals, leading Pittsburgh to a 3-1 win over Ottawa on Wednesday night to complete a four-game sweep of their first-round series.

The Sens blow. Pitt basically got two weeks off from the regular season before they have to play anyone that will give them a game. What a joke.

no kidding, they should have at least banged up Crosby.

Yeah, some accuse the Pens of handpicking the Sens for the 1st round by losing that last reg. season game.
The Pens were rolling all 4 lines and using Laraque who averaged 8min of TOI a game in this series, this kept the ice open for the skilled players. Sens had no chance in this series, Pens had everything go there way and no Alfredson for the Sens did not help..

I agree with that but who ever hit one of the young guns would have to answer to Laraque, Ruutu, Malone or even Gary Roberts.. The KIDS are protected.
