Flyers/Caps series thread
I am sure Pat and I will go round and round. He owned me last year in the Phillies/Rockies series. I think I have been babysitting his leprechaun and unicorn since game 4 of the series

Good luck my brother - if I can't enjoy a long run in this year's playoffs to the Caps success.

to you. I am hoping to just protect home ice tonight. After that, if we get up 2-0 I expect a blood bath cause Philly is gonna bring the bodies at us. Philly is a big blue color grind it in the corners team and Caps are mostly a finesse team with a few bruisers. I look for Federov to settle the kids down in the locker room and become the assist king that only he can be in the playoffs and feed the young guns for the Caps.

Ah, yes, the old Patrick Division days. Them were good times. They didn't call it the black and blue division for nothing. Remember sitting in the nose bleaders of the Spectrum to watch a good Flyers/Caps brawl when I was young. Remember Ulf Sameulsson? F'ing knuckle dragger. Couldn't even skate. He would just stand there and wait for someone to skate by and he would hit them. Hey, is Cote any relation to Sylvain Cote that used to play for the Caps?

Not really sure. Cote is a young guy - he met up with Brashear earlier in the season and Donald owned him.

I caught my first Flyers game at the Spectrum around 79 or 80.

The game has changed so much. Until the NHL gets back on ESPN they will struggle. They have trouble enough reaching fans and now we have to get versus to watch games???

I have gotten lucky finding games on local affiliate channels on the satellite. They have pay per view for the games and you can drop down to the none pay channels and find the game on the teams local affiliate and its free. Pretty nice.

What a great flippin game 1. This series will be off the hook. Both teams playing hard. Briere's high stick hurt the Flyers in the 3rd and then that pick pocket job by Ovie was insane. I see this going all seven, John. This will be the best first round series.
