Blackhawks rout Wings, avoid elimination (AP)

The Chicago Blackhawks are still alive in the Western Conference playoff race -- barely. Rookie forward Patrick Kane had a goal and two assists, and Chicago beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-2 on Wednesday night to keep its slim postseason hopes alive. The Blackhawks, who won their third straight, must win their final two games to have any chance of reaching the postseason.
