In one of the
best games I've watched this year, my Colorado Avalanche flip-flopped with Calgary, giving up an early 2-0 lead then coming from behind with less than six seconds to go to tie the game. Joe Sakic, having placed the puck in the net at the end of regulation, then goes on in the shoot out to score a goal and Milan Hejduk sinks the winner.
Sakic had career assists number 1,000 and 1,001 during the game - the only active player to reach this plateau. He has assisted 132 different players scoring a goal including 94 to Hejduk.
Colorado is now tied with Calgary and Dallas with 90 points.
Let's go Avs!!!!
