The Giants are going to miss his bat... Bartolo Colon also failed a drug test for performance enhancing drugs. These guy's should know the league is not fooling around about this subject. they want the sport clean... It's too damned bad Cabrera is a great player, now he has besmirched his rep forever with many fans. It's too bad really. He did not need an edge.

Well if they wanted the sport clean, they'd go with the more expensive testing and not the cheap one that only detects testosterone levels in the last 24 hours.

They also allow players to have 4 times the natural amount in their system, but you get suspended if you go over that.

So the message MLB is sending doesn't sound like "we want a clean sport" as much as "you can only use this much."

Melky was unfortunately caught being over the 4 to 1 limit.
