  1. BVG that's cool man but my dad went to Michigan State because at the time in the 60's MSU had a better mechanical engineering dept than Michigan, along with the better foobal team. Well I guess some things don't change Go Green.

I was debating between Michigan and USC but believe it or not with out of state tuition USC was THE CHEAPER SCHOOL.

I was 2a335A (I think they changed the MOS numbers after I got out though, they changed the airplane classificiations). I was F15 Avionics. That's funny your dad went to Michigan.. my dad went to wayne state. He was accepted to michigan university, but his parents couldn't afford it.
  3. Sure thing bud. Probably your best bet is LA or San Diego since I am usually in those two cities mainly, or if you ever are in Orange County let me know. One day though I would love to drive up to Oakland for a Raiders game but I think your best bet would be LA.

Plus There are some good bars where you could go and you won't get gouged. Be careful because some places in LA you want to go buy a drink and it will set you back like $10 for a domestic beer. I am not joking either you kind of need to know where to go.

It might be a while ... but I'll let you know when I hit LA
... or Oakland ... or Tijuana
  5. Cool man what was your mos and rate? I think enlisted AF life is better than enlisted Navy, but naval officer and af officer are = in myh book b/c even if you are in a state room (where officers are on the ship) it's nice maximum is 3 people but usualy it's only you and a fellow officer.

I have shore duty now so it's all good and I have family in SD. Grandma ma is cool and let's me kick it at her house on weekdays and on weekends I'm at my pad in LA or OC. Sometimes I'll just drive to my cond in Irvine it's a nice 3 bedroom (in case frineds want to stay over bedroom and I also have a neat townhouse in Arcadia.

I'm the kind of dude that likes to be in different places I can't stay at the same spot I'm always on the go doing soemething.

AF is really cool though man my pops was in the Iranian Royal AF and he was a 1st LT. Everyone is reaquired to do 2 years so after graduating from Michigan St he did his time.

cool.. I was in AF.. I think the AF' school is in AL though, I did my 4 years and got out though. thanks for serving
  7. Yes it does BVJ and it is in Newport RI. I just got back last week and it is a 12 week program. For the first 8 weeks you have a marine corps DI, ususally a Gunny Sgt(E7) training you. Then for the last 4 weeks it dies down they bring in a Naval officer to teach you how to be a naval officer. Although the idea of teaching someone how to be a naval officer in four months or throgh an academy is stupid. Fortunately I have 2 years of experience as a E5 2nd class petty officer. I had the pleasure of working with a good Lt Commander who taught me that genuinly wanting your people to be successful is the key to be a good naval officer.

Sonic Raider God Bless my friend sorry for late reply.
