Sunday, November 28th, 2004. It is a date forever engrained in the minds of Raider Nation, when their team traveled to Mile High Stadium in Denver and defeated the division rival Broncos. The Raiders would lose the next 17 matchups against AFC West opponents, until Sunday, November 25th, 2007 when the Raiders traveled to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and ended nearly three years of coming up short in the AFC West, by defeating the Chiefs. The Raiders snap a 6-game losing streak that goes back...

Raider Nation has not had much to be thankful for, this year. The Raiders are 2 – 8 and playing just as bad, twelve weeks into the season, as they were in their opening loss to Detroit. Despite a new young coach, a number one draft-pick quarterback, and a proven defensive coordinator, the Raiders appear to be every bit the embarrassment to the sport of professional football that they were in 2006. What is there to be thankful for, you ask? I am thankful that this organization, after four years of...

How many long snapper’s in the NFL lead their team in punt-coverage tackles? My guess is not many, but Raiders long snapper Jon Condo is not your average long snapping center. Undrafted out of college, where he was Maryland’s “Top Special Teams Performer” his senior year, Condo signed as a free agent with Dallas in 2004. A first team all-state running back in high school, Condo had 4.8 speed and the ability to use his strength and quickness against larger opponents. At just 6’ 3” and (then) 230lbs.,...

Eight games into the season, it seems like the Raiders first game against Detroit was a long time ago. We got to see it again on Sunday, however, as the Raiders dug themselves a 17 – 0 deficit by missing a field goal (they missed 3 against Detroit), throwing 3 interceptions (they threw 2 against Detroit) and giving up big chunks of real estate to Texans running back Ron Dayne (against Detroit it was passing yards). Not to be outdone, the offensive line committed 5 drive-killing penalties, which...

It’s the Raiders third game since their Week 5 bye, and they are looking more like the 2006 team with each passing week. The Raiders arguably delivered their worst performance of the season against the Titans, failing to score any touchdowns and being held to yet another sub-100 yard rushing performance. In three games since the bye, the Raiders are averaging just one touchdown per game. Before the bye, the Raiders were averaging three touchdowns every game. Likewise, the Raiders only had one sub-100...
