Gene Upshaw, the Hall of Fame guard who as union head helped get NFL players free agency and the riches that came with it, has died. He was 63.
Upshaw's death was announced by the NFL Players Association, which he headed for a quarter century.

I'm freakin stoked for the season to begin as I'm sure you are all! Finally we have something to look forward too. Theres nothing better than FOOTBALL SEASON! Plus our team is fully locked and loaded! I'm very pleased to see all of our players are doing so well in camp. I have a happy feeling in my heart, lately.
