Patriots Fan Here
I was told by other football fans not to waste my time with Raider Nation because they lack intelligence and good football discussions are few and far between. Until I learn otherwise on this message board, I really believe that there must be plenty of intelligent, knowledgable football fans here. Over the summer months I hope to be able discuss the September 8th Patriots/Raiders game to be held here in Foxboro, as well as many other football issues.

Welcome aboard. We are allready looking forward to the opener against you guys.
We can break down the game when it gets closer. Right now it is hard to get a good read on the game since both teams will continue to make changes until the season starts.

first of all welcome to the board....second let me tell you that raiders fans are some of the most knowledgable if not the most knowlegdeable football fans you'll ever meet......if you stick around and read our posts you'll figure that out quickly......congrats on your pats success the last few years even though i hate i respect it. feel free to discuss whatever you want and state your opinion but just know your in enemy territory so be careful.... you could find yourself banished if you get out of line. this is the best raiders site on the net so treat it like it is.

welcome to the site. Please go back to the other sites and just read some of there posts, I do and find them quite funny.There lack of football knowledge makes me wonder, why do they even waste time typing some of this stuff. But thats just my opinion. One thing to remember here is Discussion is for Discussion, Smack is for the Smack Forum. Keep those two things in mind and you will be fine.

Thanks for the quick replies. You will all realize that, once we get our discussions going, that I AM NOT A TROLL! I never have and never will concern myself with belittling people for either their ideas or responses, and all I ask is the same in return. My son and I have been STHs with the Patriots going on 14 years now. We've seen the down years and our current period of success (I'm not about to call it a dynasty just yet). All I request is that you don't package me along with the trolls who do decide to invade this MB. They will arrive in due time and you will definately know who they are.
Realizing that it's early on with free agency and all and no draft as yet, I'll be monitoring this site quite often, as I do all of the Patriots' opponents' sites. As the game gets closer and the teams' rosters are established, I'm sure I will be able to contribute to any and all discussions regarding our game. In case you haven't heard yet, the NFL just announced that the Patriots will host the Raiders on Thursday night, September 8 (my 57th birthday).

This just proves to me how much I love this site. Trolls are few and far between in here. Welcome aboard. You will find That this is a site for smart fans, unlike the ESPN board. Good luck this season, except for week 1.
