Question International members?

I was just wondering how many international members are on board of raiderfans.net and where they are from? The Raider Nation spreads all around the globe - that is for sure. But who are the members from overseas, down under and everywhere else? I recongized some guys from Germany, the UK, Netherlands, ...

I am from Nuremberg/Germany and live in Zurich/Switzerland. Have been a member of the Raider Nation for about 5 years now. It all started when I came over to Los Angeles for an internship and learned to know Donna&Ed, the presidents of the Sacramento Raider Rooters. I joined them for a game - and some more later on and have become a member of their club. Now I am very proud of it and trie to come over to see them and watch a game or two as often as possible. My girl also bleeds silver&black, that is a great thing! Here is a pic from the last time we were at the HOT - Monday Night against the Packers:

I come from Poland and can tell that we dont have many football fans (soccer is the most popular) but most of them are Raiders' fans unfortunatelly we have donkey's fans too but not many. Why Raiders mainly? Maybe because of Janikowski

Vienna, Austria. Got addicted to the S&B when I was 6 years old. The guy my mother was seeing at the time was from the US and a huuuuuuuge Redskins Fan. Over here, American Football was unknown except for the Superbowl, when the local sports show on TV showed some scenes from the game. I still remember him crying like a baby when the Raiders destroyed the Redskins. I didn't understand what was going on, but I liked the colors, I liked the chaos and I liked the fact that the Raiders could make a grown man cry.

I also remember his shocked face and house arrest for a couple of days after I took some white paint and painted a number on the back of a brand new black shirt (not without managing to get most of the paint on the walls, the floor and my bed, of course) and then chasing the cat around the house because I was pretending it to be a Redskin with the ball. Man, the house was a mess and my mother totally freaked out.

Ever since I'm old enough, I try to see at least one game a year, but somehow I couldn't make during the last three years. But this year, nothing will stop me. The money's set aside and I already announced that I need a one week holiday sometime between September und December. Yay!

Hi!
I'm from Oslo Norway. NFL is not wery big her. And most of the fans are packer or giants fans. It used to be wery hard to se the NFL her. But it's bether now. We usually have 3 or 4 games on TV every week.

Are thinking of going for a game this season. But it's wery exspensiv and we have only direct flight to New York and Washington. So I think it has to be one of those place. But we are playing both the Jets and Redskins away this season.

Well living in the UK, I first saw American football in the mid 80's and fell in love with the game straight away (although saying that I love most sports).
Why the Raiders though, I'm not really sure, the colours, the image, the sight of the fans. One if not a bit of all 3 enticed me in, and I've been hooked since.
Over here we usually get 2 live games a week and I subscribe to the NASN channel, so I get to see plenty of college games as well.
I've not yet managed to travel across the pond to see the boys in action, but I'm working on it.
