Dial Up Question
How well does this site run over a dial up connection? I want to be here on day one of the draft, but slow connections drive me crazy.
Will it be like last night and today with no avitars and sigs to help speed it up. On Saturday, I will need to share with the nation..............

I am probably the one to answer this because I probably have the worst dial up connection in the United states. I connect at 26.4k. My running download speed is only at around 2k to 3k. Without the avatars and sigs everything loads pretty fast. Opening page takes the longest and then getting onto the forums page takes the second longest. Refreshing on the forums page to look at new posts might end up pissing you off with up to a 20 to 30 second wait at times. The key with the slow connection is to get on the site and surf around for awhile so that your computer has the images and stuff already loaded. Do that before draft day and you will be fine.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like my posts will be late on Saturday. I'll have something very important to say and by the time I post it, it will be old news.
It's hard enough trying to stay ahead of the curve on this site. To many fast and knowledable fans. I guess that's why I read more than I post.

That is a great idea, I never knew that a text based version of this site exsisted. I am going to put that in my favorites in case I have a day that is making me mad with my connection.
