How can I search the forum?

Q&A indicates there's a search feature on the top of each forum, but I don't see one.

Help?

the top banner show them user cp....FAQ...members list... search ect...

After reading Q&A again, found my answer:

As per FQA:

You can search for posts based on username, word(s) in the post or just in the subject, by date, and only in particular forums.

To access the search feature, click on the "search" link at the top of most pages.

You can search any forum that you have permission to search - you will not be allowed to search through private forums unless the administrator has given you the necessary security rights to do so.

Can i get rights to the forum?

No thats why they are Private

OK, just so that I get this right:

Although I can go and read all the posts/threads in the "Introduce Yourself" forum. I can't search throught it because it's a private forum?

What's private about it? Unable to search?

There's no search button for me anywhere.

The search function is right up there in the main toolbar of the forum. Items listed are:

User CP
FAQ
Members List
Calendar
New Posts
Search
Quick Links
Log Out

The ENTIRE forum can be searched based upon your level of involvment. Regular members can't view posts that were found in the Premium section. Regular Premium members can't view the same things that the Moderators can. It's simple.

If your Search function is NOT there, log out, restart your computer, and log back in. If that doesn't work........drink some water and change your socks!

might be my browser, doesn't show up at all (use mozilla.Firefox)

I'll go check with IE on another comp and see... thanks for the help though.

yea even on this it shows me:

User CP
FAQ
Members List
Calendar
Quicklinks
Logout

I'm missing new posts and search; maybe a cookie setting or maybe since I have negative rep I get stuff disabled, haha... I'll play around with it.

I don't know what it is, I'm not too computer literate.....I just know how to use 'em.

i see what defiler sees... calendar n quick links n there is no search feature for those of us with this layout
