Upload/pic size

When I "manage attachments" the biggest pic I can post is 480 x 640.
I have seen much larger pics posted here by other users.
How can I post a pic larger than 480 x 640 ?


This is what I get when I try -

Picture 005.jpg:
File Too Large. Limits are 480 x 640. Your file is 800 x 600.

because they are not uploading it to the site directly, but you are not suppose to post anything bigger than the 480 x 640 I believe.

Ok, so how do I upload it to the site directly and attach it to my post, and is this breaking the rules by uploading a pic bigger than 480 x 640 ?

I believe that size is the maximum. You go to image gallery and upload the pictures.
