I'm working on an assignment on Spatial effects. You know like different sized squares so that they appear to be close and far. Anyhow, I'm to use the rectangle tool and set the the line size at 2. I have my ink set on color and have selected outline instead of fill. When I go to draw the squares, nothing shows up. It will only show up when I select fill. I asked the teacher (it's an online course) and this is his response, but I have no clue what I'm suppose to do.

Here's what he said

That is because you have somehow change the parimeters of the brush. If you
remember you can not have the brush set with the line straight across. You will get
nothing when using the rectangle tool. The other problem may be that you do not have
the ink set to color.

Ahh, one of the pitfalls of Photoshop.
A bunch of ways to accomplish the same goal!~
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what he's referring to in regards to a brush when using the "rectangle" tool.
Are these "all of the instructions" that came with the tutorial?

Here's the instructions he gave

Flat Illusory Space
1. In the upper left-hand area of the flat space section develop an example representing the spatial technique of size. (see example on page 25) Use a line size of 2 Click on the appropriate window of the image (top two) below step four for a flash animation demo.

Wait I figured it out. I went to brushes and changed the shape of the brush. It was going straight across. Don't know if that makes sense but it worked.

Nope didn't figure it out. If I change the brush it changes the line size. The line size has to be at 2.

EEeeeewwwww.......Yeeeeeaaaahhhh!(Bill Lumbergh from Office Space)
I've never used a tool called "Animator" before.
Is this a third party plug-in or is it made by a completely different company other than Adobe?
I usually use Flash, ImageReady(for gifs), and Strata Studio Pro or Bryce 5 if I need to create something in 3D.
Hit me back.
I just finished putting the kids down for a nap, so I'll be online.
