Forum Pages Loading VERY SLOWLY

For the second day the forum pages on this site are loading incredibly slow, and I have 16mps internet speed. This is the ONLY site I'm having trouble with.

I am having the same problem on two separate computers (one Mac running 10.4.7 and a new Mac running 10.7.4.).

Anyone else having problems or know what might be going on?

Seems to be stalling on Akamai and burstnet.com ... at least from my office.

Periodically, I experience that.

Today however, is not one of those days.

My home PC took forever earlier but my cell phone works fine.. haven't been home for a few so I'll check it later.

Thanks for trying, BK, but it didn't fix the problem. Something else is going on.

Maybe one of the ads is causing problems???

My pages are loading fast today. They have been a little slow lately but today much better.

Was dreadful all day for me. Thinking ads too. May not be the site at all but rather a problem with the ads it's referencing or maybe the caching sites regionally?

I just loaded "Do Not Track Plus" on my new Mac. The program prevents all tracking cookies, etc. Seems to be doing the job, so I'm thinking the problem is with the ads.

Too bad the program only works on Macs with the newest software

Its like having dial up again. As reported 15 to 20 second load times for all pages including post replies or forum selections.

And its only this site, others seem to be running OK.
if it matters I am running Windows 7 and using GoogleChrome.

Try Do Not Track Plus. It is great and highly recommended by others.

I would bet my next paycheck it makes a difference. And the great thing is it TELLS you who is trying to track you.

LOL i thought the same, and back on my home PC and still very slow!
most other sites like Twitter and FB work fine.
not sure what the problem is, i thought maybe too many people was just logged on lagging it down due to the Murphy deal?

We had some traffic spikes today and that slowed things down just a tad, but the real issue was a rather large cache file. Once I removed that file, everything went back to normal

Not sure if you read this whole thread, or just responded to his post BK, but the problem is NOT fixed.

It certainly does appear to be related to ads loading.

It just took over two minutes for this "reply" page to load so I could respond.
