just like a cover 1 except the corners are responsible for deep down the sidelines

Wow this thread is old.

What about Chicago's Tommie Harris(295) and Tank Johnson(300)?

Tampa? Hovan is 295, Haye is 285. Sapp was 30o like you said. If that is big to you then Idk what to say. We have a 340 pounder in Sands and Warren is 325. There are plenty of guys his size around the league and many are bigger.

Detroit has Redding who is 295 I think and Darby is a former buc at 297.

Indy: Ed johnson(295), Raheem Brock(274!!!)

Laroi Glover who is currently a Ram and played with them back with the lovie smith days I think when they ran tampa 2. He is only 290.

Do I need to post anymore examples?

Pat Williams is 317
Kevin Willimas is 310.
Shaun Rogers is 340.
Haloti Ngata is 340.
Vince Wilfork is 325.
John Henderson is 325.
Jamal Williams is 350.
Haynesworth is 320.
Casey Hampton is 325.
Marcus Stroud is 306.
Kris Jenkins is 335.
Grady Jackson is 335
Gabe Watson(Ari)-332
Aubrayo Frankiln(SF)-334
Brodrick Bunkley(Phi)-306
Montgomery(was)- 312
Griffin(was)- 311
Plus 2 guys on our roster makes nearly 20 starters over 300.

LOL me too(only about half as many years. You can learn more than you think I've learned stuff from different websites as well but not much actual experience...

The best example of a time to use a cover 2, was the colts and bears in the super bowl. The bears liked to run and throw deep, which is to the strength of a cover 2 if you have the players. A lot of times little league teams use it because the corners sit in the flat and stop rushers coming off the edge while 2 safeties cover the receivers. I never liked it but played in it in a league a couple years ago and most guys weren't smart enough to make it work. Zones like cover 2 take a lot of discipline from a lot of guys to work.

Post is like 7 months old but yes I have some practical experience using it... I've coached pee wee and my team ran this defense, and me being the QB I saw it every other day when we scrimmaged defense.

We're talking about a cover 3 defense here as not to confuse anyone.
