use the 2006 Raider playbook. That should work nicely.

you can look at a spread or option...I like the option because it's a lot easier for youngsters to run than pass. With the option you can put the best athlete at QB...and even when you want to pass you are already rolling out and don't need a lot of blocking.

The key to any offense with youngsters is to overload what the defense can handle...so even throwing 3 or 4 wideouts into the pattern can be effective.

Thanks for the info. I stepped down in age this year and coached 7-8 yr old flags. We are the Raiders of coarse. Raiders sent us some nice jerseys this year.

That is alsmot what I was going to suggest, however I would add one more thing to that. When I played pop warner football we ran a lot of option. I would start off teaching them simple half back option. Once your quarterbak understands the proper execution of the half back option, you can incorporate the tripple option. All we ran was I formation and basically option. Our Option set up the play action pass and it worked to perfection because the defense would be anticipating the run.

*Towards the middle of the season when we started understanding the offense, we mixed in the spread and we lit it up. This is important but someone already mentioned it. PICK THE MOST ATHLETIC PERSON TO BE YOUR QB. HE doesn't need to have a cannon arm as long as he is accurate. Speed and holding on to the football is more important than a rocket arm at this age bracke.

Complicated offenses like the spread or west cost offense just does not work for 11 and 12 year old kids. Just stick to the basics like half back trap, dive, counter, sprint, toss, and blast. On Defense stick with the 5-2 but if you are going agianst a team that just loves to air it out, switch up to a 4-3. Zone does not also usually work with kids because they hardly ever stay where they are supposed to. Just stick with man and blitz if you want to.

I'd run the Double Wing and the Wing T... the Double Wing is virtually unstoppable if ran properly...

Ya I agree with some of the above...I would run the I with a modified Option...gets everybody involved and makes the kids learn the ins and out of football...also helps kids get ready for the high school system...The I and a modified option are very simple to impliment and wouldn't take very long to learn...then the more they get used to it and perfect it, you can add other cool things like a pulling guard/tackle...etc
