The quarterback will try to use a different (longer) cadence to try to get the defense to jump offsides in crucial situations. This is why defensive linemen must watch the football every snap and watch it snapped before they get off the line. Its commonly used on fourth and third down plays with a big significance.

Our cadence calls ?
like i figured, so i thought i would post it here to see what the Nation thinks, or saw?
White 90... Omaha
I was re-watching the Eagles vrs Raiders HOF game, and i Noticed you could hear the QB's calling out pretty good... I heard walter say Omaha!!! Omaha!!!, and the FB went in motion, and then later It seemed like Tui's cadence was WHITE 90... and he said it usually 2 times, but the hut was on a different count... just kinda cool how they had the sound up like that, i think Madden had alot to do with that, cause he always said fox should do the field sound more, but the language was too strong....
any way, just wondered if anyone noticed that, and if that is just a basic game plan, cause i never heard white 90 called every single snap?

yea i noticed it. I believe Omaha meant switch the play to other side. Like a running play. But it probably isnt that easy.

lots of times the words in the cadence don't even mean anything. Qb's might just throw them in there that way when they do switch the play the defense doesn't know the difference.

I think Walter used a different one, yet mainly the same, just wondered if Tui. used it cause it was a 3rd string line, so it was simple??
BTW the only reason i posted there was cause i post videos there alot and never get any response, but i get request once in a blue moon, so i was just curious to who read post over there?
guess no one does unless you are a troll, then everyone seems to answer.

When I played football in high school, on certain plays if we called a run check with the qb, he would yell oregon for outside and idaho for a inside run. Maybe the omaha call was something like that.
