Zone VS. Man to Man
Can someone break down the both of these types of defenses. Also, how do they differ from eachother and what are the pros and cons of each??

running back is very responsible for the success of this scheme, thats why a quicker Rhodes may benefit more then a slower Jordan

quicker smaller linemen are very vital for the success of the blocking and bigger stronger offensive linemen benefit more likely from Man Blocking, more confrontational

I think I stated my question incorrectly. What I mean to say is:
What is the difference between man to man and zone coverage?

man to man-defender on receiver. no help from other defenders.
zone defense-player covers a specific zone. can get help from another player. better for teams that tire easily.
right or no?

Pretty much right; while in Man coverage there is sometimes help from the safety or LB depending on what is called most of the time the CBs are on an island. In zone all the defenders do is cover an area.
Here is a good article on Man coverage...

Man to man your corners are lined up over the wrs that they are going to be covering one on one. The safties usually line up on an extra WR or a TE, and either your strong saftey or your OLB/ MLB end up covering the FB and the RB. Each of these players are responsible for an assignment and have to know the check downs if motion is used. For example if your MLB has the FB and the OLB has the TE and the FB moves in motion, then the OLB then picks up the FB and the MLB takes the TE (doesnt happen much like that as usually its a OLB or a S over the TE).
In Zone coverage usually the FS is playing deep and no one is suppose to be further down field than him. The SS or MLB usually cover the middle of the field or the underneath zone. The OLB usually cover the flat, where the running backs would catch the pass out of the backfield. The corners drop into either medium, short, or deep coverage as well. Sometimes in a Zone Blitz the Lbs will rush and DEs or DTs will drop into their zone. Zone coverages sometimes overlap which can cause some confusion as well. The Defenders that are covering a zone are responsible to stay close to people within that zone and cover them, but release them into another zone, if two people end up in one zone sometimes a player will shift his zone to help out, which can leave a whole there as well.
If you play Madden at all when the CBs and LBs have a red line pointing to a player that would be man coverage, when they have the blue or yellow circles then its zone.
