My First Draft of the Season
i joined a 12 team league and we just had our draft. i picked 9th out of 12. here's my first crack at FF this season:

Stacked!!! I gots love for him but I wouldnt go with Curry tho. I'd take carter first just because he will score more td's imo. Better deep threat, better RZ target.

good call. since its so early, i drafted Curry since we don't know if Javon will miss any time with the orbital fracture and broken jaw...allegedly. if that's the case, Curry will be Jamarcus' primary target on the outside. i'll keep Carter on my watch list.

biggest disappointment for me was not landing Zach Miller. he was selected right before my selection in the 12th round. i may swing a trade for him.

imo your team is very "iffy" You have great potential. Lynch had a great year, and will command more attention this year...roddy white is a great receiver but unknown talent throwing to him, and may focus on run with the addition of Michael Turner. Big Ben will almost certainly get you good numbers, while you could use more depth at RB. Ricky Williams isnt the most stable guy. I suggest a guy like Kenny Watson out of Cincinatti...he put up good numbers coming off the bench last year, and when he started. Possibly Cadillac Williams, he's a risk but if he's healthy he's very productive, may be a good backup choice. But overall pretty good team.

That is a good team if you have 16 teams in your league , but otherwise it looks rather week. I really don't see a strengt at any one position and your depth is non existent. IMO

I had a draft last night, tell me what you think.

QB: Drew Brees, JaMarcus Russell
RB: Brian Westbrook, Rudi Johnson, Chester Taylor, Kenny Watson
WR: Donald Driver, Marques Colston, Derick Mason, Jerry Porter (taking a chance), Javon Walker (taking a chance)
TE: Chris Cooley
K: Nate Kaeding
DST: Oakland (taking a chance)


I hope Brees and Colston become a nice QB/WR combo, so as a backup I took Russell and Walker just in case a miracle happens. I know Porter has talent, deep down he needs a good QB like Garrard to get him the ball, but with his hamstring surgery I'm not so sure now.

If those chance players perform up to expectation, I could have quite a sleeper team. Guess we'll find out

almost the exact same team i had like 2 years ago minus a few rooks. I was in a few leagues but I placed 3rd with that team I think and never set my lineup the 2nd half of the season LOL. No internet b/c my house was under construction.
