Kitna or Romo? - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

Hey everyone, I am in a salary cap league and I have made some moves and I have enough money left over to keep Kitna or get Romo or Mcnabb.

I am leaning towards Romo but Kitna has that Martz offense and they pass like crazy. Mcnabb is also a possibility.

Hit me up with the knowledge people.

I've never been in a salary cap league? Is it a keeper league? If its a keeper league......

I'm guessing Romo, he;ll be around. Mcnabb has injury problems, Kitna may not be the long term solution....

Kitna plays the Bears this week, and Romo plays the Rams. Even without the favorable matchups, I'd take Romo over Kitna any day. He's playing like the league MVP.

It isn't a Keeper league, however you only get 1 trade a week, you can save up your trades and you can also buy trades, I had 4 left over from last year.

Here is my team.

QB Tom Brady
QB Kitna (could be Romo)
RB Lamont Jordan
RB Derrick Ward
WR Randy Moss (was steve smith)
WR Ronald Curry
D Raiders baby

It is pretty tough to get productive players in every position and still get under the cap, I am 1st in my league so far and in 1,918 place out of 141,856 world wide so thats not too bad.

I think I am going to go with Romo.

You need a RB. I'd be more concerned about a RB than a backup QB.

I would definatly take Romo over Kitna or Mcnabb. I have him in my league and he's putting up huge points each week and he gets Glenn back in a few weeks.

For the money they cost Lamont and Ward are putting up good numbers, so many guys took LT and tried to build around him.

When Brandon Jacobs and Rhodes get back I will make some Rb moves. You only have 35 million to work with and all the studs cost bank. For instance LT cost 10 million, allot of guys got LT and tried to build around him and they are all losing there asses now.

And Kitna wasn't a backup you play your whole team every week.

Brady was the cheapest of the good QB's at the start of the season and Kitna was a steal, Lamont and Ward together I think cost less than LT and Lamont alone has outscored LT.

As the season progresses the value of players increases and decreases as they play so you could conceivably have a team over the cap if you got them when they were cheaper, you do not have to trade them if that happens.

It is a change of pace from the traditional Yahoo league I am also in.

RB situation is iffy b/c Brandon Jacobs will be back next week or the week after at the latest, and Dominic Rhodes comes off suspension in about 2.5 weeks.

Yes sir I will most likely be making some moves when those guys get back.
