Little help please

Hey all, I am in a salary cap league and I need to gain about 1 to 2 million in my cap to get a decent #2 QB.

Right now I have

QB Tom Brady (hey he was cheap) 7.5 million
QB nothing yet
RB Westbrook 8 million
RB Adrian Peterson (bears, needed the cap space) .5 million
WR Steve Smith (he is a stud) 7.75 million
WR Jerry porter (hoping for a break out) 2.75 million
D Oakland Baby! 3.35 million

That leaves me 5.15 million and every 5.15 million QB is a back up, I can pick up some cap room if I drop Porter for Curry 1.9 million for curry.

If I swap Curry for Porter that would leave me 6 million, I could pick up Jeff Garcia. or Kitna, maybe Grossman or JP Losman Trent Green is availbale as well.

All of those choices are better then a QB who will be on the bench, In this league your whole team starts.

Hit me with any advice, Thanks

Troy

Ok I did the swap so here are my choices for a #2 QB in no particular order.

1. Garcia
2. Losman
3. Leftwich
4. Mcnair
5. Grossman
6. Huard
7. pennington
8. T. Green
9. Kitna

Right now I am leaning toward Kitna or Garcia, Kitna has some good receivers and I think he will put up some good numbers this year, Garcia did well last year, he wont have Westbrook to take short passes and turn them into big gainers but he should still do ok.

Green may or may not do well in Miami, Grossman looks like the mad bomber one game and like Jay schreoder (sp?) the next.

Hit me up with your all knowing advice everyone.

Kitna no doubt, is far and away a better pick than any of the others.
He is used to Mike Martz system now, and has Roy Williams, Mike Furry (led the NFC in reception) and Calvin Johnson (if he turns out to be any good).

Their Defense is kinda sketchy, so they will probably be behind in the 4th a lot, forcing him to throw.

The others are...meh

I was thinking the same thing, I have Kitna in there, hopefully I get some production out of Curry and peterson.

I would sell off Brady to make room for a better 2nd RB. Unless you know something that I don't, Peterson's best deal is a shared load with Benson. That, assuming Benson turns out to be a flop. The next few QB's down the list will probably produce simular stats to Brady, and not cost you as much.

I dunno about kitna.More on the side of grossman..your right about his mad bomber tendancies, but i was listening too the bears training camp on the radio and it seems he is making better decisions while hitting wr's in stride.

Grossman is hot and cold. When he is on he lights up the scoreboard, but when he is off, he is terrible. Right now he is about 50/50 chance each week of being hot or cold. There is very little in between. Until he becomes more consistent I would stay away from him all together.
