Hang in there...these tough times will pass. Keep doing what you are doing and be there for your son. I respect the way you feel regarding your son's feelings.

Hang in there bro. Yea your son is going through it right now. He feels like when you leave him you might not come back. He will adjust in a while when he is reassured in his mind. Sounds like your ex is just through. If that is the case move on with your life the more drama the worse for your son. Stay strong and focused on your life and your sons life.

the past couple of weeks have been rough. nothing has changed in her mind, still doesnt want to try marriage counseling, and still thinks our son will not be affected by any of this. one day that hurt me the most is when i had to take my son to my mom's house so she can watch him overnight, basically spending the night due to me working the next night at 2am. as i began to leave the house, he started crying, typically he cries for a lil while then gets over it but for some reason on this night he didnt. my mom called me crying saying he cant stop crying and is asking for me by trying to open the door and run out the house. so i went back to my apartment, grabed some clothes and spent the night there at my mom's house. it was so heart-breaking becuz when i saw him he couldnt calm down and was holding onto me tight. i couldnt even sleep becuz every time i moved he woke up cuz he thought i was leaving him. that night basically made my decision to file for legal separation for now until i get on my feet and then file for divorce. my wife to this day doesnt think she has done anything wrong and that she doesnt think that she left me, that I FORCED HER TO LEAVE. from what i see and hear, she will never change, never give up her friends that are making her think different about me, and never grow up at all.

as of now for me, just trying to get my apartment cleaned up and i gotta move back to my parents for a lil while til i get a place of my own. going back to college and going for a 2nd job. its going to be tough but i know i have to do it, not just for myself but for my son.

I'm sorry to say this but if she think's that your son will not be affected by this, she is 100% retarded!Any freshman psych major who just finished taking Psychology 101 can tell you that this is just simply not true. A divorce can have a huge affect on a kid. ToI'm going to stick with my original assertion about your wife. It seems like to me she is very immature, which is why I always tell my friends to wait until both of you are at least 25. It seems like to me she is still in party mode.

I just want to congragulate you on the decision of going back to college. I think this is the best thing you can do for yourself. If you want to have a good white collar high paying job, you need at least a four year degree. Anything above that is just extra cerricular but getting that first degree is just oh so important for your career.
