The bottom line is this people. Lil Wayne and Kanye West are the head of the top of the class for the next generation of rap. We may not like it but all of our parents and OGs didn't like 2pac, Biggie, Spice 1, Too Short, etc. These kids now a days will fight you for dissing Lil Wayne like we would fight someone for talking sh*t about Pac or Biggie.
Trust me. Im in hoods all the time. Richmond, Oakland, Frisco, Sac, Vallejo. Guess what you hear in most of the hardest hoods right now? Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross, etc.
My boy Ro is a mailman in Oakland and said he heard the whole Lil Wayne CD while walking on his mail route on week. It is what it is. These rappers are the only one's making any money for hip hop. Im from right here in the bay area and none of our rappers can't even get no radio play on KMEL. Damn Soulja Boy's gay ass get more play on KMEL than a bay area rapper. I don't like it but you have to appeal to these youngstas man if you want to make money. That "Superman" song was the corniest cornball song I ever heard in my life on earth. But hey it made Soulja Boy a millionare and Im over here working 2 full time jobs paying mortage and high gas prices. I really can't be mad the dude. I mean I been at the club and seen grown ass men do that "SuperBoy" dance. Im cool like whip. When that song come on thats my clue to go the bar and buy another drink.
I predict the Carter 3 will sale at least 5 million in the US alone. It might hit "diamond" (10mil world wide) status once the world wide figures are added. And you all know what other 3 rap albums are the only ones to ever surpase "diamond" status? "All Eyez On Me" "Life After Death" and "Get Rich Or Die Trying"
Like I said. Lil Wayne's buzz in the U.S. alone is crazy. The dude gets $75K to feature and $100K to feature and video. And damn near every thing he been on has been a slapper. What Im saying is that the dude wouldn't be getting calls to be on all these features if he was a bum. I mean seriously the dude should be rich alone of features alone and add that to his album sales. Shoot. I need a loan, LOL.
Peep these for example...
Playaz Circle ft. Lil Wayne...
Lil Wayne pretty much made this song on the hook alone. Lets keep it real people.
Rick Ross ft. Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, Jezzy
Tell me Wayne didn't come correct on this one. Come on people lets tell the truth around here.
And this final song Im about to give you.
"Hollywood Divorce" Outkast ft. Lil Wayne and Snoop.
Ok peep who he is on the song with.
Andre 3000, who is one of the most incrediblist lyricist in the world today.
Big Boi who can hold it down. And
Snoop. These ain't no bums ladies and gents. And Wayne still put it down. Listen for ya self.
Im sorry people. If this dude, Lil Wayne is not atleast one of the top 5 rappers alive then I need to cut my ears off and give them donate them to some Scientist who takes organs for donation.
