Through out history, the music industry saw these artists come and go and they were voted best rapper/ song writer/ best talent/ break though artist, etc. etc., so I don't really take these "TITLES" with a grain of salt. If you can keep your name in the music industry for more than 5 years, then you may be worthy of a title, until then, you are no better than Hanson, Mike Jones and artists like these.

As far as I'm concerned, these so called breakthrough artists are no better than William Hung until I say they are better! LOL!!!!
Exactly. THe title don't mean ****. At all. Like who is time magazine to appoint who the best rapper alive is.

William Hung was the damn man. Period. I'd like to see him and Pac go at it on some beef tracks.

Lol. I know, but I'm not talking about fans. I'm talking about PEERS, as in other rappers and artists in the music industry. No one's had this much respect in awhile. And that's a fact. I think peer respect should mean something. His peers are the one's who do what Wayne does. They go through the same **** as each other. They know how hard the music industry is. And they know talent when they see it, more than any of us do for that matter you know..

I feel you, I'm just saying that you pointed out how he sold 2M in 2 weeks and how he is the most downloaded, etc. That means nothing imo. But peer respect is huge, I agree.

Anyways, Game, T.I and outkast should be cming out soon. Can't wait

The bottom line is this people. Lil Wayne and Kanye West are the head of the top of the class for the next generation of rap. We may not like it but all of our parents and OGs didn't like 2pac, Biggie, Spice 1, Too Short, etc. These kids now a days will fight you for dissing Lil Wayne like we would fight someone for talking sh*t about Pac or Biggie.

Trust me. Im in hoods all the time. Richmond, Oakland, Frisco, Sac, Vallejo. Guess what you hear in most of the hardest hoods right now? Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross, etc.

My boy Ro is a mailman in Oakland and said he heard the whole Lil Wayne CD while walking on his mail route on week. It is what it is. These rappers are the only one's making any money for hip hop. Im from right here in the bay area and none of our rappers can't even get no radio play on KMEL. Damn Soulja Boy's gay ass get more play on KMEL than a bay area rapper. I don't like it but you have to appeal to these youngstas man if you want to make money. That "Superman" song was the corniest cornball song I ever heard in my life on earth. But hey it made Soulja Boy a millionare and Im over here working 2 full time jobs paying mortage and high gas prices. I really can't be mad the dude. I mean I been at the club and seen grown ass men do that "SuperBoy" dance. Im cool like whip. When that song come on thats my clue to go the bar and buy another drink.

I predict the Carter 3 will sale at least 5 million in the US alone. It might hit "diamond" (10mil world wide) status once the world wide figures are added. And you all know what other 3 rap albums are the only ones to ever surpase "diamond" status? "All Eyez On Me" "Life After Death" and "Get Rich Or Die Trying"

Like I said. Lil Wayne's buzz in the U.S. alone is crazy. The dude gets $75K to feature and $100K to feature and video. And damn near every thing he been on has been a slapper. What Im saying is that the dude wouldn't be getting calls to be on all these features if he was a bum. I mean seriously the dude should be rich alone of features alone and add that to his album sales. Shoot. I need a loan, LOL.

Peep these for example...

Playaz Circle ft. Lil Wayne...
Lil Wayne pretty much made this song on the hook alone. Lets keep it real people.

Rick Ross ft. Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, Jezzy

Tell me Wayne didn't come correct on this one. Come on people lets tell the truth around here.

And this final song Im about to give you. "Hollywood Divorce" Outkast ft. Lil Wayne and Snoop.

Ok peep who he is on the song with. Andre 3000, who is one of the most incrediblist lyricist in the world today. Big Boi who can hold it down. And Snoop. These ain't no bums ladies and gents. And Wayne still put it down. Listen for ya self.

Im sorry people. If this dude, Lil Wayne is not atleast one of the top 5 rappers alive then I need to cut my ears off and give them donate them to some Scientist who takes organs for donation.

Young man let me let you in a lil secret.

LADIES LOVE MONEY.

No matter what the hell you look like.

Look at Sam Cassell....

The guy gets groupies because he has money. Did you know he was rumored to be dating Ananda Lewis...

Now why on the planet Earth or any other planet in the galaxy would Ananda Lewis even consider dating Sam Cassell? Money.

Until Wayne drops a 'classic' album I can't hear any argument on 'greatest' anything. Maybe classic albums don't exist no more. Carter 3 aint no classic. I aint sayin its a bad album. Its actually very solid on production... I just can't get into Wayne for the life of me.

In you opinion what are classic albums? And Im talking albums that the whole hip hop nation is feelin.?

Here is my classic list

2Pac - All Eyez On Me
Outkast - SouthernPlayalisticCaddialicmuzik
Biggie - Life After Death
T.I. - Urban Legend
E-40 - In A Major Way
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Juvenille - 400 Degrees

Not in that order but those are classic albums, IMO.

Redair stole the words outta my mouth... LAX will end all of this weezy is god talk. I would know... im a kid. Back when that track one blood dropped, Everybody proclaimed the game the king of the world. After what you know? TI is the man. Weezy will have the spotlight until the next respectable album drops. Wayne should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Pac Big etc. He is good. but nothing close to the best rapper alive. And Kanye is not even in my top 10. I'll go ahead cand call jedi mind tricks and immortal technique better than weezy F.
