List of Rappers On Da Beat of "A Milli" Do you understand how absurd that is? THIRTY one. And that's just the from people who are famous enough to get their **** recognized it seems like. Thats absurd. There's a list to all of em. I like that beat, and everyone else in the industry is also jockin it. Don't wana beat a dead horse. again its just preference. At least we agree on the Raiders

Not defending his best rapper of all time, but let me ask you this... What rapper has had/has as much peer respect/recognition as wayne today? I can think of Pac... and thats it. And I'm not talking NWA, or RUN DMC, obviously they were huge because they were the first of their kind. Any song Wayne touches is leaked IMMEDIATELY and downloaded by MILLIONS on th einternet. At one point he had FOUR songs in teh billboard top 5. Usher's in Da club was sitting at #6 for a while with Young jeezy on the beat... What did he do? Went and slapped Wayne on the song, because "Wayne is the king of Rap right now, everyone knows that" (thats what usher said, and guess what? The song plumped to #1 for a meere week, before being pushed off by who else? Wayne's lollipop.... I understand why people don't like him. He's either a who hate him or love him type guy. But I honestly believe dude needs to be respected. Everything he touches is hott in terms of sales/radioplay. Again, what rapper in the past 20 yeras has been THIS hott. Pac... I don't think Biggie was. I mean Biggie was big, but not the type of aura lil wayne has around him right now. As he says, "for the right price, i'll make your **** tighter." And although I don't think he's god and I don't like a ll of ****, he's right. You pay the man, you'll get recognition. GUARANTEED. So I ask you... Whose been this hott? In terms of radioplay, Lil wayne beat out Eric Clapton for most soongs in the top 100 in one week with 7 i think it was, 4 in the top 50, 3 in the top 10. . Dude's hott, whether we like it or not. I don't wana seem like I'm all up on his jock, he's not even my favorite rapper of all, but people need to recognize what he's done for the MUSIC industry as a whole. He sold a million records in an era when artists AREN"T selling CD's anymore!! Radiohead sold the most by letting their fans pay a penny an album. And still didn't sell milli...

"Hottest" cat out now? Maybe. I aint tryin to hate on Waynes credibility. I just think folks give him too much credit. He's hot right now...how do we know he will have another successful album? This is hip-hop, you hot for one minute, then the next nobody could give a **** about you. Look at 50. I'm sure all these same arguments made for Wayne now could've been made for him 5 years ago. He had beats. Everybody wanted to work with him. Folks was sayin he was the future. White people bought his music. Same could go for alot of cats who are "hot" for a minute. Hell DMX was dope. Ja Rule had fans. But to leap to Best Rapper Alive? Not even close. Next 2Pac or B.I.G.? It remains to be seen. If he stays at the top of his game for awhile then maybe Ill agree down the road. I ****ed with Hot Boys. Block is Hot. 500 Degreez. The Carters. Nothin special. I will say he just put out his best album, and if he continues to grow as an artist then maybe I will change my stance on him. But till then...no thanks. Label me a "Wayne Hater". Thats all good. I got a love for all hip-hop though for real. I gets down mostly with the Bay or West Coast but for me it dont matter. When Wayne drops his next album I'll give it a few spins. Who knows maybe itll grow on me. I just aint feelin the Carter 3.

fa real man and its gettin worse. I think hip-hop took a few steps back on that front...back to the days of one-hit wonders like we had in the early 90's. One hit song, a sh*tty album and never hear from em again.

I'm the type of person that is into funky beats, smooth rap. That's the style of rap I fell in love with. I like a jam that you can get funky and dance to. I like rap beats that you can sweat to. Lil' Wayne's beats are too slow for me. I guess I'm looking at the picture through a club dj's eyes.

The more I think about this title given' to Lil' Wayne, the more I find these type of titles less irrelevant. These are the same people that thought Hanson was a breakthrough back in the late 90's, they are also the same people that were all over Mike Jones jock for a minute and they also worshiped the ground P. Diddy and Ja Rule walked on. Through out history, the music industry saw these artists come and go and they were voted best rapper/ |
