I drink with women, and lots of em. I like stuff that nods my head, and makes them shake their booties (not talking about wayne here,l).

And on top of that, I love wayne's lyrics. They are witty. I agree that Rakim, and all those guys are bad ass. I bump/bumped their **** since high school. I'm into all kinds of music. Although Rap is hands down my favorite, I LOVE slow songs. Some old R. Kelly, Babyface, Keith Sweat, ****tt even some marvin gaye.

As for Wayne. Love him. Its just preference though. This is my generation of music, and i was old enough to appreiate the tail bit of 2pac's era too. I definitely was into his stuff prior to his unfortunate murder.

For the same reasons I liked Mac Dre, I like wayne. Witty, clever lyrics that make you say sometimes "did he just say that s**t?"

I must admit, I love his mix tapes the most, even than all the carters. I think Da Drought 3 should be put down as a classic mixtape. But, its all preference. What I like, some dont.

ANd I don't know why I have to keep explaining this to ya'll, this is a whole different generation. I dont listen to rap for politics. **** that. THE LAST thing I wana hear is someone rapping about the same sh*t i see on CNN every damn day. I wanna be able to drive, bump some ish and nod my head. Yeah the 70's, 80's,90's made rap what it is today. But... So? Its not the 70's,80's,90's, its 2000, almost 2010. FOURTY years later. Things wont always be the same.

Anything from old Ice Cube, to T.I, and yes to Wayne (obviously no Lollipop). He has respect in the rap industry more than any other rapper has right now or HAS HAD since 2pac, and thats the damn truth. No one has given one rapper this much credit since pac. Pac was bigger than life, no one will ever live up to him IMO.

Wayne's the man, love him or hate him. Just give him respect. Kid's been rapping since 13. THIRTEEN. And now he's finally on top. Love him or hate him, dont disrespect him. He's doing his thang.

It's MUSIC. It's all just preference IMO. Not everyone's gotta agree....

Don't get me wrong. I do like some of the new stuff that is out, but the problem is, there is not enough new chit that is appealing. Let's use Lil' Waynes song for example, "A Milli", that song is just annoying. I can't even focus on his rap because of that irritating " a mi mi a mi mi a mi mi" background hypnotizing crap that is going on in the song.

I agree with you that it's all a preference and everybody's not going to agree but c'mon, giving Lil' Wayne the title of being the Best Rapper of all time is taking a WAY too far!

Again, thats where we differ bro. It's the hottest beat in the RAP INDUSTRY right now. Easily, no competition. A milli is such a famous street banger that it had THIRTY ONE remixes in the first 2 weeks. The beat was so hott 31 rappers jumped on that **** asap......

List of Rappers On Da Beat of "A Milli"

Do you understand how absurd that is? THIRTY one. And that's just the from people who are famous enough to get their **** recognized it seems like. Thats absurd.

There's a list to all of em. I like that beat, and everyone else in the industry is also jockin it.

Don't wana beat a dead horse. again its just preference. At least we agree on the Raiders

Completely understand where your coming from and what your saying.

Not defending his best rapper of all time, but let me ask you this...

What rapper has had/has as much peer respect/recognition as wayne today?

I can think of Pac... and thats it. And I'm not talking NWA, or RUN DMC, obviously they were huge because they were the first of their kind.

Any song Wayne touches is leaked IMMEDIATELY and downloaded by MILLIONS on th einternet. At one point he had FOUR songs in teh billboard top 5. Usher's in Da club was sitting at #6 for a while with Young jeezy on the beat... What did he do? Went and slapped Wayne on the song, because "Wayne is the king of Rap right now, everyone knows that" (thats what usher said, and guess what? The song plumped to #1 for a meere week, before being pushed off by who else? Wayne's lollipop....

I understand why people don't like him. He's either a who hate him or love him type guy. But I honestly believe dude needs to be respected. Everything he touches is hott in terms of sales/radioplay.

Again, what rapper in the past 20 yeras has been THIS hott. Pac... I don't think Biggie was. I mean Biggie was big, but not the type of aura lil wayne has around him right now. As he says, "for the right price, i'll make your **** tighter." And although I don't think he's god and I don't like a ll of ****, he's right. You pay the man, you'll get recognition. GUARANTEED.

So I ask you... Whose been this hott? In terms of radioplay, Lil wayne beat out Eric Clapton for most soongs in the top 100 in one week with 7 i think it was, 4 in the top 50, 3 in the top 10. . Dude's hott, whether we like it or not. I don't wana seem like I'm all up on his jock, he's not even my favorite rapper of all, but people need to recognize what he's done for the MUSIC industry as a whole. He sold a million records in an era when artists AREN"T selling CD's anymore!! Radiohead sold the most by letting their fans pay a penny an album. And still didn't sell milli...

"Hottest" cat out now? Maybe. I aint tryin to hate on Waynes credibility. I just think folks give him too much credit. He's hot right now...how do we know he will have another successful album? This is hip-hop, you hot for one minute, then the next nobody could give a **** about you. Look at 50. I'm sure all these same arguments made for Wayne now could've been made for him 5 years ago. He had beats. Everybody wanted to work with him. Folks was sayin he was the future. White people bought his music. Same could go for alot of cats who are "hot" for a minute. Hell DMX was dope. Ja Rule had fans. But to leap to Best Rapper Alive? Not even close. Next 2Pac or B.I.G.? It remains to be seen. If he stays at the top of his game for awhile then maybe Ill agree down the road. I ****ed with Hot Boys. Block is Hot. 500 Degreez. The Carters. Nothin special. I will say he just put out his best album, and if he continues to grow as an artist then maybe I will change my stance on him. But till then...no thanks. Label me a "Wayne Hater". Thats all good. I got a love for all hip-hop though for real. I gets down mostly with the Bay or West Coast but for me it dont matter. When Wayne drops his next album I'll give it a few spins. Who knows maybe itll grow on me. I just aint feelin the Carter 3.

fa real man and its gettin worse. I think hip-hop took a few steps back on that front...back to the days of one-hit wonders like we had in the early 90's. One hit song, a sh*tty album and never hear from em again.

I'm not here to argue and I know you're not either. I just don't feel his music and I have been a DJ for the past 15+ years. Although I haven't DJed in 2 years, which I'm glad I don't at this point because the music that is out would be a conflict of interest between club ownership & the DJ's/ Patrons.

I'm the type of person that is into funky beats, smooth rap. That's the style of rap I fell in love with. I like a jam that you can get funky and dance to. I like rap beats that you can sweat to. Lil' Wayne's beats are too slow for me.

I guess I'm looking at the picture through a club dj's eyes.

I honestly think Wayne is good, but I don't judge rappers by how much money they make or how much they sell, etc. Can they rap? lol It's that simple. I don't see how he's so much better than everyone and I know dudes with better or at least can flow at his level and they dont get the same kinda love or respect. That's why in a way I hate him. So yea I guess you're right it's either love or hate.

The more I think about this title given' to Lil' Wayne, the more I find these type of titles less irrelevant.

These are the same people that thought Hanson was a breakthrough back in the late 90's, they are also the same people that were all over Mike Jones jock for a minute and they also worshiped the ground P. Diddy and Ja Rule walked on.

Through out history, the music industry saw these artists come and go and they were voted best rapper/
