Question.

Im shooting up to Best Buy to cop me a new camera. I want a good one. When it comes to electronics I only deal with Sony. So let me know what yall think about these 2 that I have in mind.

Sony - Cyber-shot 7.2MP Digital Camera - Silver - DSC-S750

I really like this one because of the price.

Sony - Cyber-shot 8.1MP Digital Camera - Silver - DSC-T70

I like this one too but for $300.00 bones it better do other things in life than just take pictures. Sh*t.

Digital SLR is the way to go...bad part is that they are very pricey.

My camera, memory card and two lense cost me $1500.00 and the one lense I use for Sports photography cost $750.00 by itself.

No way in hell I can see myself spending that kinda cheese on camera stuff. I just want to take regular pics of this. Nothing too fancy.

Poke, for digital cameras I really recommed looking into Nikon or Canon. They are camera companies, and as such have YEARS of photographic expertise.

The D40 is a dSLR that is affordable and gets great reviews. It has 6MP which is on the low end for a dSLR, but unless you are looking to do major size prints (greater than 11x14) you would be pretty set.

Nikon 6.1MP Digital Camera with 18-55mm. Lens - D40 : Target

The Canon Digital Rebels are very good. This one has 8mp, and is their entry level dSLR.
Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm Lens : Target

IF you are looking to be more budget consious, this one is a good buy. It has 8mp and 10x optical zoom.

Canon PowerShot 8.0MP Super-Zoom Digital Camera - Black (SX100IS) : Target


Sonys are not bad, as they have the lenses made by the Ziess lens company, but overall you are going to get a better CAMERA from either Canon or Nikon.

If you are not going to be doing larger size prints, IMO its much better to trade to slightly less resolution to get more optical zoom. That is especially important if you want to be shooting game shots.

I just purchased this Canon PowerShot A590 IS

Did alot of research and the general consensus is it's probably the best camera you'll find for under $200. $179 at Best Buy.

I actually have a Panasonic Lumix right now. I got it for $150 at best Buy as a display model. It is a nice camera and has Lecia lenses, with 6x optical zoom and 7.2 mp.

A friend of mine swears by Panasonics. My next camera is going to be a dSLR, either Nikon or Canon.
