Exclamation WWE star, Brock Lesnar quitting; NFL Bound?

As we reported earlier today, Brock Lesnar announced yesterday that his last date for WWE would be at WrestleMania. We have more information on the story and this is definitely one of those situations where truth is stranger than fiction.

Brock Lesnar stood up in front of the Smackdown crew yesterday at the pre-show talent meeting and announced that he was leaving WWE after WrestleMania to pursue a career in the National Football League.

Lesnar is a amatuer wrestler, he's never played a down of football in his life. He'll probably get into the movies. Football is not even an option...

Wasn't Mania going to be Goldbergs last match?

I found this

At 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Lesnar is a rock-solid mountain of chiseled muscle, a superstar who is seemingly destined to accomplish great things in WWE.
Lesnar has already made an impact in the amateur sporting world. Lesnar, 24, become an NJCAA Champion in 1998. He transferred to the University of Minnesota and promptly won the Big 10 Championship, but was a runner-up in the NCAA Tournament. He capped off his senior season by again winning the Big 10 Championship and then securing the NCAA heavyweight title. In 2000, Lesnar signed a developmental contract with WWE and began to learn the professional game at Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, Ky. In doing so, he turned down opportunities to try out with several NFL teams.

As if growing up working on a farm wasn't good enough to build his frame, Lesnar said he picked up an avid interest in weightlifting and bodybuilding by the time he was in fifth grade. Now, with Paul Heyman on his side, he'll attempt to bring all his tools together and dominate WWE.

At Summerslam, he gets a shot for the Undisputed title

An Associated Press report in September 2002 said Lesnar turned down tryout offers from the Tampa Bay Bucs and Washington Redskins, opting instead to sign a developmental contract with the WWE. He joined the company shortly after graduating in 2000 and made his debut just after WrestleMania XVIII in 2002.

Coincidentally, Lesnar's match at this year's Wrestlemania is against Goldberg, who played for the Atlanta Falcons briefly and is also expected to leave the company after the match.
