Heath Ledger died from accidental drug overdose,

Is anyone buying this story ???

Oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam.

Who was this guys doctor ??

I love the line were doctors warn of the dangers of mixing drugs

And why was he prescribed Oxycodone ? My dad passed away 18 months ago and they prescribed Oxycodone to him as a last resort because they knew he was dying. Was Ledger in that much pain ?

NEW YORK — Actor Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of six drugs — painkillers and sedatives — the New York City Medical Examiner's Office said Wednesday, leading doctors to warn of the dangers of mixing prescription drugs.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," said the medical examiner's spokeswoman, Ellen Borakove.

"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."

In addition to the painkiller oxycodone, the list of generic names refer to drugs more commonly known as the painkiller Vicodin, anti-anxiety medications ****** and Xanax, and the sleeping pill Restoril, while Unisom is an antihistamine commonly used as a sleeping aid.

There was no mention of alcohol or illegal drugs. <<<< (Thank God for that !!)

Wow my grandpa's doctor has him on vicodin, morphin and he was taking a sleeping pill Ambien. I can't understand why so I have to give him his medication or else he will over medicate himself. I took him off the Ambien completely. Whenever I take him to the hospital or something the doctors ask why he is on so much medication and I'm like "I don't know ask his doctor"..........note my grandfather only has hip and back pain from hip surgery years and years ago yet the doctor put him on both morphine and vicodin

Yeah tell me about it. We live with him now so I can watch him better but damn there would be times I'd come to bring him food or something and he'd be talking like he was back in the war And dealing with people addicted to vicodin is worse than people on crank at times. JMO.

Prescription drugs can get out of hand sometimes. I try and stay away from them unless I have no choice. You take one drug to help out with something, but it has a few side effects, and to take care of the side effects of that drug you need to take something else, and it never ends.

It just seems nowadays people are so quick to find a drug to lose weight instead of going for a run each day, and they have pills for everything now. It is definately getting out of hand.

I will not say I know everything about these situations, but my dad is a family doctor, and doctors have to be very careful nowadays when giving out prescriptions etc. For a doctor to allow Heath to take that many pills at once makes no sense whatsoever.
