If we do indeed draft a "Franchise Qb" like most people think, I pray that we grab Quinn over Russell...Quinn has every tool he needs to be the next Carson Palmer or whoever you may compare him to. Russell has arm strength like none other but i think he is overated by far....Quinn had one bad game against Russell and everyone just jumps on the bandwagon for Russell. I am all for Johnson or Peterson to be drafted depending on the Moss situation. But I can honestly say that Brady Quinn will have a more successful career than Russell by far.
Heres a Video of Brady Quinn.... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LJgmeEH1lrE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LJgmeEH1lrE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> I know Rizzock is gonna be all over this |

Quinn and Russell both have the arm to be a nfl qb. Brady looked real good in the video and his throws were right on the money. Quinn would fit very welll in the offence that Kiffin will run. I noticed that Quinn always looks to see if anyone is open before he runs with the ball. He sees the field pretty good and can scramble if he needs to. Quinns initials stands for qb and i wouldnt mind trading down to 3 or 4 and taking him. Get a 2nd round choice and get a player we need to fill our needs.

Russell is the man this year, period. Quinn will be good, Russell will be great. Can he bust? Sure, anyone can bust, but we have a very good coaching staff as far as working with players (Knapp has a history in the NFL and Kiffin's players at USC say this) and need a QB who can throw short and intermediate passes as well as the deep ball and he can make those throws on the run. He's a leader and a team guy and he has a history of rallying the team for late game comebacks. I am pretty sure that 265 is roughly what he has been playing at, as a matter of fact it's possible he lost a couple pounds off his playing weight, I read a report that said he was closer to 270. Bottom line, he's accurate, efficient, mobile and durable with a rocket arm and great leadership and he's still improving. My guess is we draft him and sign Brad Johnson, who has been cut recently. This way we can groom him with a vet who has taken a team the distance with an offense that is very similar to what Kiffin will run.
By the way, where is the "News Flash"?

Don't worry guys we'll take Calvin Johnson to ease the pain and convert him to TE for optimum excitement.

Well if word on the street is anything Pete Carroll thinks Lane Kiffin will take Russell over Quinn. I think the USC ND game this year screwed Quinn over in the fact that Kiffin probably isen't sold on him because of the pounding ND received.
