Interesting Mock

Saw it on a mock draft board. It had us trading our 3rd and 4th round picks to Dallas for Julius Jones, and trading Moss to Atl for Shaub. I'm not sold on Shaub if we get a vet QB I want Carr. Jones would be sweet but I think we could get him for less because they have Barber and he has been getting a lot of carries. Jones didn't have the greatest year but was still over 1000 yards rushing, he only scored 3 or 4 times but they give Barber the ball around the goal line (Jordan?) I thought it was interesting. Then we took CJ with the 1st overall pick.......thoughts?

Moss for Schuab would never happen their would have to be a pick offered to the Falcons for that to happen.
I like Julius Jones.

Someone should inform the person who did that mock that the Falcons cannot trade Matt Schaub.
Unless tyhe rules have changed, in which case I suggest the Raiders trade Bo Jackson to Tampa for the #3/4 overall pick.

Thats what I was wondering, I hear a lot about trading for Shaub but he's a RFA...right? He can't be traded by Atl unless they resign him first....right? Like I said I'm not sold on him anyway so I don't really care. I like the JJ trade a lot, we could then trade Moss for a 2nd or 3rd. And then go after the QB we want, whether that be Carr/Russell/Quinn

And people think Russel is overhyped? WTF has Schaub done in the NFL? JACK ****. He may very well be a good QB in future but people talk about him like he is a proven star. ( At least that is what it seems like )

Plus, he is the Falcons insurance policy. As much as the Falcons and there owner say Vick is not going anywhere, another season of Mediocre play, and I would not be surprised to see a QB switch.

RFA basically means the Falcons can tag him with a FIRST RD tender...meaning they would get a 1st round pick if they decide to NOT match any offer that would be made to Shaub.

Top tender 1 and 3
next level is a 1
new level is a 2nd round pick
and the last level I believe is the round in which the player was drafted is rewarded.

If Shaub refuses to sign the tender....he is simply out of football...he either plays for the Falcons or no one....but since the Falcons will sign him to the highest tender....they could indeed trade him under the 1 year tender deal.

ATL is too smart to let Schaub go for Moss

Why would the Cowboys give up their starting RB for a 3rd and 4th? Teams are starting to really like the 2-RB offense
