That was a decent article on the draft. I wouldnt say excellent.

"Louisville DT Amobi Okoye — Many were taken aback by the young Okoye's weight, checking in well under 300 pounds. Considered a top-15 pick on many mock draft boards before this week, he might slide out of the first round after getting shoved around against the run a bit by the more physical linemen. However, he's lightning quick and has done a good job of getting into the backfield and has been generally considered one of the most impressive players this week."

I'd be so thrilled, if Oakland made some moves to get another 1st, but along the way kept #33. Then if this scenario occured and Okoye fell to the 2nd Round, that would be G-R-E-A-T!!!!! First Round maybe select Russell, and a WR/TE. Then Okoye in the 2nd round.

Okoye in Silver & Black would be Terrific!!!!! Either way I hope Okoye does end up in Oakland!!!!!!

If it weren't for the senior bowl, I'd have more hope that we could actually get Okoye

He'd fit P-E-R-F-E-C-T in our Defensive Line rotation. Then I'd LOVE to see him playing for Rob Ryan. Can you imagine that??? The way Rob Ryan grooms young talent, and with Warren Sapp by his side, man he's custom fit for our spot!!!!!

A man can Dream, but I doubt he'll fall.

Great, great article thanks bro. Far too often there is too much hype surrounding these players. Also a good point about how you'd better be in love with a QB if you take them in the top 5, case in point, David Carr. We desperatley need a QB but can we afford to wait 2 years to see if Russell is the real deal?

Thats my biggest question. Ideally you'd want to have the option of sitting Russell on the bench a year like Carson Palmer instead of risk drowning him. But when you give a guy a $70 million dollar contract my fear is they'll want to get him on the field ASAP.

As for Okoye. He won't slip to the 2nd. Even at 285 teams will want him because he projects at worse as a Tommy Harris type disruptive undertackle.

if we spend any picks on defense in the top three rounds, it is the wrong move.

Not really, if we do those type of moves. We would be building the defense much better.

I rather fix our offense in the Free Agents...

I think you're right. Rob Ryan has done an Outstanding job grooming young players. Nobody on offense has proven they can do that yet. I'm still traumatized from regime's past. I say Draft some offense, but for the most part address what you can in FA. It'll be easier to coach some solid vets. As for Drafting Defense, that's a great idea. Let Rob Ryan groom those young men, to fit his scheme, then dominate.

not really. we still need another dt tackle and a dend. plus another lber would be nice. one that could play both inside and outside in a pinch. our linebacking depth as is with our dline is not that great. sure you have Tommy Kelly and sands on th eline but beyond that you dont have much. and our linebacker depth is a joke. if one of our starters goes down we are in trouble. i know bing will be coming back from ir but he has not platyed linebacker at all. other than him we have nobody. i beleive thomas is a f ree agent unless he resigns we hacve no one worth talking about. so i actually wouldnt be that upset to see a linemen ot lbre picked that early.
