VERY Strong arm/ very relaxed in the pocket/ has mobility/ very quick release and very accurate on intermediate to deep throws

Yeah, I doubt his D/Special teams scores 7 TDs in 8 games like Vince Young's.

He reminds me a lot of Culpepper, but not quite as mobile.

He's really improved the last 2 years but he's got a long way to go.

He looks comfortable in the pocket because he had 5-6 sec to throw almost every time.

When Auburn and especially Florida blitzed him all game and could get a pass rush with only 4 guys he stunk. He personally blew the Florida game throwing 3 INT's; all under a rush; and fumbling 3 times; once on third and short and once on fourth and short; he blew the game. He recovered all of them but they didnt' convert.

He also goes by raw physical talent. He throws off his back foot so much it's not funny. Young was much more polished.

He's not a #1 pick IMHO, but is worth a first rounder.

The kid slides alot in the pocket, which will translate well at the pro level.

He can easily buy 5-6 seconds because of his ability to move laterally away from the rush, buying time...

He has a cannon for a arm, and his pick tonite was the 1st in 120 pass attempts. Not to shabby.

He's got something, but will fans be patient while he develops?
Will Al Davis get him a quality OC (ie Norm Chow)?

At 6ft6 he can see over everyone, and he really can affect a game with his running ability.

VY = better runner by far, game-breaking runs

JR = better passer, but kinda close between the two because JR is more raw at the moment.

just make JR lose some weight and he might get a little bit more mobile.

You cannot teach a kid to make a 50+ yard throw in stride. He has a lot of upside and he brings the type of excitement that Oakland needs on offense-- a playmaker who will make players around him better.
