Zach Catanese

He plays Safety at Arizona State.... here is his bio:

Versatile and tenacious athlete who, in his first year on campus, was one of ASU's most sturdy defenders...combines elite size and athleticism and is a threat to line-up in the box in run support as well as drop back into pass coverage...is the Pac-10's leading returning tackler from 2005 (107 total)...owns the 21st-best tackles-per-game average (8.9) in the nation among returning defenders from last season...ranked as the fourth-best in the nation at his position by Phil Steele...rated as the 20th-best safety in the nation by Lindy's...listed as a preseason fourth-team All-American and a preseason first-team All-Pac-10 honoree by Phil Steele...for the second consecutive year, he was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in the team's winter strength and conditioning program (top 10 overall).

Zach stands 6ft 3in, 215lbs....
I think he is worth looking at for the Raiders next year for the draft. What do you guys think?

No problem in looking at him, though if we're gettin a safety I prefer we get Brandon Meriweather.

He would gamble and do everything unsound on the corner." - Warren Sapp on DeAngelo Fall

What difference does it make at this point?

I want people who want to play football here .. not people who will cause off the field problems. We already have enough distractions this season. If we bring in more people with problems the Raiders will never get their team turned around.

If he's a Pacman Jones type then I got no problem with him. If it's a case of a T.O. type player then I don't want nothing to do with him. But Meriweather from what i've heard don't really got no problems off the field, he a lil thug sure but the academic requirements for Miami are really high so he can't be a dumbass. As long as he is playing football and playing it good and helping us win games I could give a **** what he does off the field.

Exactly. If he's P-Buch then I want no part of it. That's an example of when swagger goes wrong. I don't think Meriweather is like that tho.
