All I can say is..........

wait until he faces a real defense like Chicago or gets run over by Joey Porter. Then we will see just how overrated Kordell St.... I mean Vince Young is. Nice job on the championship but.......

September 3 La Lafayette W 60-3
September 10 at No. 4 Ohio State W 25-22
September 17 Rice W 51-10
October 1 at Missouri W 51-20
October 8 Oklahoma W 45-12
October 15 No. 24 Colorado W 42-17
October 22 No. 10 Texas Tech W 52-17
October 29 at Oklahoma State W 47-28
November 5 at Baylor W 62-0
November 12 Kansas W 66-14
November 25 at Texas A&M W 40-29
December 3 at Colorado W 70-3

Tell me who on this list Texas shouldn't have scored as many points as they did on?

Baylor , 1-10 Rice , Kansas?

Take away Ohio State , though I beleive in a rematch today OSU wins , which was a good win , and you have a bunch of teams that struggled to .500. ANd Oklahoma was not the OK of past so you won't sell me on that one.

The Texas Longhorns Team is definitely , as they just proved , the best Team , but Vince Young only did what he should have done to begin with.

We all knew , or at least should have , that this game was going to be a shootout that could go either way. USC has a soft defense , Bush , Leinart and White made the plays when needed and thats where there success was. It's a shame they lost , but it had to happen eventually. But I digress.

If Vince Young becomes a succesful NFL QB , I will walk into the Black Hole wearing Broncos gear. And trust me you I love the Raiders. I just want you to know the confidence I have in my convictions.

Kordell went to a pro bowl. Not too long ago he was "the next big thing" before the Steelers pulled their heads out of their asses and benched his ass. I wonder how long until Vick gets the same treatment.

As for Young...I'm not sold on him because he's had one good year, has awful throwing mechanics and plays in a shotgun draw option offense. But don't bring up his schedule because USC's is just as much of a joke.

u could tell that was what he was gonna do EVERY time they needed a big play...RUN....

however.....i dont care what anyone says...but

ONE MAN.....just beat one of the greatest teams in NCAA history....n kordell was acataully a pretty good QB....not a great passer, but a good qb....

I think vince has potential & tools to WORK with on becoming a better QB.In the right system, w/ the right coaches, who is to say how he'd pan out as an NFL QB.

You're right one man. I always did think of him as a selfish player. He is gonna have the ego of TO with half the talent. I am certainly not taking away from Texas as a whole , just Young. He did what he could to make sure everybody talked about him , and just him. Next week , people will still be talking about Young. They will forget Huff's big hits and Wright's solid inside play. They will forget there leading receiver had 10 catches but could only muster up 88 yards. They will talk about how Vince Young won the championship , not the Texas Longhorns. This is the same guy who bitched and whined about not winning the Heisman. The same guy who said I am going out there to prove I was sleighted. There was no we. It was all me me me.

It wasn't so much a point of comparing Texas to USC , it was more an expression of how I feel about Vince Young , national hero. I basically was making the point that he did what he was expected to do in those games.

Young does not have an NFL arm, and would struggle in the NFL away from the 'zone read' offense.

He is nowhere near as quick as Vick, and does not have Vick's arm either. You think Vick struggles in the NFL? wait to you see this guy away from the 'zone read' and against faster and better tackling LB's.

He runs with incredible power, but that is not enough to be an NFL QB.

Great college player, will not translate it into the NFL.

U GUYS DONT KNOW ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USC plays a nfl style D (pete carrol Defence of guru)
Vince Young will be better then VICK,Cullpepper, McNabb all of them ive watched him the last 2 years he's the real deal no doubht.. He was on the fire all night!! He completed 30-40 passes on a solid D. He beat Ohio Sate at their house and they have a solid D. I like hoe Vince Young carried his team and state on his back. Didnt u see last years Rose Bowl??

How can u call him selfish did u hear any of his interviews or see and piecies on him the thing i like about young is how he presents himself, his confidence, personality. i knew Texas would upset USC i called it b4 the football year read my thread on WHAT IF VINCE YOUNG??????? check it out

im gona pray for the RAIDERS to get him u know MOSS and Porter want him

Vince Young was amazing last night. He carried the team on his shoulders and lead them to victory. That being said, unless he improves upon his arm strength and throwing mechanics and accuracy, he will be useless as an NFL qb. The announcers kept mentioning his NCAA high passing efficiency, but not once in the game last night did I see him even attempt a throw that would suggest he can play NFL qb. The difference between college and the pros at qb is that in college, you have to hit the open receiver. In the pros, you have to hit a covered receiver. At this point, Young has not demonstrated he can do that.
