Omar Jacobs?

Let's say we draft defense in the 1st RD, and some how Omar Jacobs is available when we pick in the 2nd rd should we go after him? I know alot of people are high on Walter etc but Jacobs in the 2ndRD IMO is a steal.
Another factor would be if we change coaches sometimes new coaches want there own guys that fits their system.

I'd rather fill other needs as well. Jacobs most likely wont fall out of the 1st rd but if he did man thats hard to pass up in the 2nd rd. All i know is that if Jacobs is there in the second round and we make a WTF pick like last year with Routt my head would explode.

At the time though none of us were happy to get him. He was a no-name who got drafted out of nowhere.

About Jacobs though if he's available in the 2nd we should snatch him just in case Walter is a bust.

No one knew who the hell he was, and lets not act liked he set the Nfl on fire in the last 4 games he's played in one wash. I think he has 13 tackeles for theyear. I'm not dissing i hope he plays great next year a 6'1 CB with 4.3 speed is awesome.

2nd RD picks we coulda had instead off the top of my head Odell Thurman, Kevin Burnett,Lofa Tatupu,Khalif Barnes,Darrent Williams.

ESPN didnt even have info on him if thats not a wtf pick i dont know what is.

Exaclty I cant see a good enough reason not to draft Jacobs if he slips that far. Unless Bing or someone else great falls as well. Another thing about Walter he did have that injury to his shoulder i believe better safe than sorry.

A) Routt > Darrent
B) Kevin Burnett is doing nothing right now, and has serious ankle injuries
C) He was the best CB available at the time and original intentions were to get a CB to return kicks.. well Chris Carr spoiled that plan
D) Only reason we didnt know about him is because of Mel Kiper, well Kiper potrays himself to be smarter then he actually is!

Routt is in no way better then Darrent Williams. You say that because of homerism. Darrent Williams can actually cover without getting pass interference.. every time.

I think Routt Could, and might be good... but Darrent Williams is better right now.. even though i think Routt will be better in the long run.

no I say that because the Donks were gonna take Routt instead of Darrent Williams, I mean he was a better prospect!

Routt over Darrent? What are you basing that on? I hope you are not basing that on play this year. because Darrent is having the better season. Routt was not a popular pick. Also, Routt wasn't the best CB available. Justin Miller was the best CB available and he went in the second round 25th to the Jets.
