I would love to take this guy with our late 3rd round pick, or even our early 3rd, him and Stu will be the future at safety.

Underrated: Ernest Shazor, Michigan
The same factor, speed -- in this case a subpar, 4.7 40 -- is what's dragging down Shazor's stock. Never mind that, as a junior last season, he was without question the most disruptive player on the Wolverines' defense, making a team-high 84 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and forcing and recovering two fumbles. His punishing hit and accompanying strip of Purdue receiver Dorian Bryant in the final minutes preserved a 16-14 road win over the Boilermakers. An incredible athlete with ideal stature (6-4, 228), Shazor is being pegged as a second-round pick at best. Personally, with the exception of Georgia's Thomas Davis, who has future All-Pro written all over him, I'd take Shazor over any other safety.

I was just thinking that Thomas Davis (S) may be around at #26. I'd definately take him, We could have him play safety and LB.

...and he's big enough, (6-4-225), to possibly move to linebacker

I like Davis alot, but I'll wait until the second round for a possible selection for Shazor, we could have more impact players at #26...

Sounds like this Shazor guy is good. I don't follow College football too much so school me but if ya'll say he's good then I'll believe it. Now a day's the 40 time doesn't matter as much because I hear of people with slow 40 times tearing it up.
