1) Keep trading up... get Johnson or Merriman or Ware
2) Travis Johnson
3) Crowder

then in second round, DEF get Burnett (or Ruud if we did not get Crowder)

I think it is a great place to take Matt Roth DE from Iowa. I was watching some cheesy draft special last weekend and they said that this guy is what urban myths are made of, supposedly he cleared out a bar in Ames of about 30 people by himself. This may not be true but he has the attitude and motor that makes it believable.


Also, I am a little biased being from Iowa and a huge Hawkeye fan too. This would be a dream come true for me.

I would like Cody in the first if he falls but we could get Blackstock in the first then Rudd in the second. That would clear up the LB issue.

Why is everybody so high on blackstock? He is horrible in coverge, and he is not even average against the run. The only thing he does for us is pass rush, and that was from a 3-4 defense in college. I think Blackstock is gonna be average at best. Good name though...

1. Stop trading up. The Raiders have a chance to add some much-needed depth inexpensively, a real consideration given their cap issues.
2. Depends who's there, obviously, but given a) the trade of Buchanon b) the Woodson situation and c) the strong cornerback class, don't be surprised to see them take one of Marlin Jackson, Fabian Washington, Justin Miller or Corey Webster.
3. If not a CB, probably a linebacker like Channing Crowder or Kevin Burnett.
