Senior Bowl

Ok you draft gurus, who did we appear to like at the Senior Bowl? I know Norvell coached there so who do you think we are looking at with #26?

Give us your thoughts

In regards to Matt Roth I have never seen him play...is he a Brayton type or can he actually get to the QB? As much as I like Brayton he just doesnt display the ability to get to the QB. Now I know last year he wasnt used the right way and I dont hold that against him. It's just we know what we have with Brayton and we dont need another one. So can someone set me straight?

The round one type players are pretty much name guys who everyone knows. What I am excited about are the day 2 guys Turner saw.

I still say we pick a DL with the first pick. So with the 26th pick I say we get Pollack, S. Cody, Roth, or D. Cody. Those guys are all 1st round picks.

Johnson, James, and Spears will be gone before #26 or we will take one of them.

Matt Jones as a third down TE would be sick but he's not worth the #26 for us anyway. I'd like to get Sproles with one of those 3rd round picks because I don't think he'll be there on day two. I think if we stay at #26 we're looking for a DE like Shaun Cody.

sproles, Why is everyone so high on sproles, hes a midget back with good speed. He'll never be more then a 3rd down speicalist or return guy in the NFL. Probably one of most overated prospects in the draft imo. I wouldn't pick him at all.

We're rumoured to be very high on Ruud...

Two defensive players stood out at the Senior Bowl for the North- Bill Swancutt and Kirk Morrison. Neither are 1st rounders but Kirk is a Cali native and we had a few guys down at his pro day so i wouldn't be at all surprised if we invested one of our 3rd rounders into one of these two!

What makes you the draft expert.

Alot like him because... HE DESERVED THE HEISMAN. Ya, he is 5'6. whats your point?

He ran great in uni, and tell me, who much bigger are NFL players then college players.. NOT MUCH.

We all know he'll never be a starter but he would be a feared return man (Guess you don't like Dante Hall either) and he'd be an incredible 3rd down back.

Deserved the Heisman??!?!?!? He barely had 1,000 yards last year.

Sproles may make a fine situational back and return guy, but the Raiders just invested $27 million in Lamont Jordan. Using a first-day on another back is foolish when the team has so many other needs.

I like Sproles alot- he is not gonna be our feature back if we drafted him, but i doubt Cadillac/H2/Benson would be if we drafted them now...Point is we're not looking for a starter- Sproles is a very servicable player; he'll provide the contrast to Lamont's power running style and would potentially form a nice 1-2 punch with him...

Everyone comments on 2 main things when talking about him: Height and Speed... However, the kid is a smart runner who (like Garner used to) will wait for holes to open up (that kinda patience and comfort with ball to hand cannot be taught; something Gore and Fiason possess and get little credit for it; hence high productivity yet average workout numbers) and will exploit them with that electrifying pace and agility!

I don't want to see us a draft any RB until the 2nd day simply because we've got much bigger needs at this moment in time... On the 2nd day i wouldn't hesistate to snap him up ahead of the likes of KayJay Harris, Moats etc.
