Aaron Rodgers enters draft

Its been a very busy day for me with everyone entering..

Aaron Rodgers QB Cal is entering the draft according to Scott Wright of NFLdraftcountdown.com. He is mostly regarded as the second best QB in the draft, but I think Alex Smith is better. Rodgers tends to underthrow his deep passes and really doesnt have great arm strength. Hes very smart, has good size, and is a good leader

A NFL QB...learned in a NFL type system in college...This kid will be a good pro!!!

Should be, just find him slightly overrated. Tedfords a great QB coach, Rodgers should be a quarterback. Hes getting too much crap for losing vs Texas Tech, he played very badly, but that shouldnt overshadow his whole collegiate career, he was missing his great WR Geoff McArthur, a nice big target that was his go-to-guy. His arm strength is good, great mechanics, is very athletic, and hes pretty accurate. I dont think he will be able to really play up to the huge expectations he has as what looks like top ten draft status, but he should be good. I still think Alex Smith is better, but not by much.

Like I said in another thread, Smith is really going to live of this late rep he's build up in his career!

Gotta disagree on his arm strength bro. When he was playing JUCO ball he consisently throw balls down town. The system TEDFORD runs call for more short, intermediate then an occasional deep ball.

Tedford has also stated that Rogers has the best mechanics of any qb he has coached.

His arm hasnt looked too great when I saw it. He seemed to not throw many deep balls (as you said before) but when he did he seemed to underthrow his man, like he did tons of times vs Texas Tech. I know other people disagree but I find his arm strength good, but not great.
