I like Alex Simth...saw him the other day in the bowl game. The draft will be interesting but enless Collins goes we are not drafting a QB.

Alex Smith announced he will come out early.

He's a lot like a Rich Gannon/Tom Brady type - smart, accurate, can run when needed, but average arm. And wins. A lot.

I would love to pick the kid up, if we could get him in the third round. However, I think teams are finally catching on that arm strength isn't everything. Smith could easily be a low first round draft pick. #7 would be waaay too high for him, probably. And he won't be around in the second round. I can see him going the Cowboys, Packers, or maybe even the Saints.

I hope Johnson is availabe at #7, but I don't think he will be. If he isn't I think we should definately look at trading down. With as many holes as we have, it makes sense to move down to the 10-20 range, and pick up an extra #2.
