RB Ced Benson from the Bengals? Could be a good addition should Bush walk, we play the Bengals in 2012...and there's talk of Bush to Cincinnati, go figure. If Bush does walk and doesn't sign with Cinci, look for them to go after Trent Richardson, maybe, they could go after RB's in Rounds 2-4.

saw the Bush to Cincy talk too.

maybe the Bengals can reciprocate the fleecing we took when Hue went out and got Palmer and give back a pick or two in exchange for Bush after the Raiders agree to tag him and trade him.

Trent Richardson may not be around by the time the Bengals pick. if the Browns lose out on RG3 and a WR like Justin Blackmon is already off the board, i think their 3rd choice will be Richardson.

Patiots release Wright, Ohrnberger - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

I think Rich Ohrnberger could easily come cheap and I think he'd could end up being good depth for the interior line.

Yeah that bothered me at first. After reading some comments and articles about the IR thing it almost seems to me they were just trying to get rid of him since he hadn't lived up to their expectations.

That said, check him out medically and if he's good bring him in to fight it out for a roster spot. Not gonna cost much and could end up working out.

Since we're linking free agency...looks like Hines Ward just pleaded guilty. Not looking too good there.

DE John Abraham from Atlanta (he's now 33 years old and coming off a 9.5 sack performance in 2011) will walk.

A Scouting Report for Shea McClellin who I think is the type of OLB/DE Allen could be looking for.

This is a Eagles focused article, but I found the information and intital focus of the article too good pass up.

Found this article about Omar Bolden, his injury and moving forward with the Combine upon us. He's definitely growing on me as a late round steal (if his knee checks out).

Omar Bolden heads to NFL Combine with plenty to prove

Also found this analysis of 'How to Grade the Safety Position'. They seem to emphasize the playmaking ability and that's still the thing that bothers me about overpaying (or giving top 5 or even top 10 money) Branch.

NFL Draft: How to grade the safety position | National Football Post

Surely some GMs and coaches look for these in a different order, but I think its a pretty fair breakdown of what to look for in a safety. He's working on one for corners next, I'll post that once its up.

Thought so too. Definitely think the playmaking ability and range are what I look for most in a safety.

Wonder if that has any effect on his draft position.

secretly i want his draft stock to suffer, just so he'll be available with our comp pick...but i'm sure that once he's back from pneumonia, he'll kill it in private workouts.

Remember Jimmy Clausen? | National Football Post

Not the biggest fan of Clausen and no guarantee he gets cut, but I always felt like he was never really given a fair chance in Carolina and would say its worth at least kicking the tires if he hits the street.
